Joseph, Esther, and Daniel all worked for Secular Governments

Joseph? Esther? Daniel? They all were stolen, captured (Daniel was castrated)… and forcefully taken by a wicked government. They all risked their physical lives to obey God even in their situation. Show me a “music minister” that has been abducted and forced to make secular music or partner with a wicked company, then decided to risk his life to live holy instead.
You can’t because compromise is driven by ignorance, spiritual adultery and covetousness, not by obedient and sacrificial leadership.

Government is a ministry given by God. Also, working with inanimate objects is much different than working in entertainment. God has the heart of the leader in his hands, even if they are wicked.

The illogical leap is made when we equivocate Daniel being captured by Babylon to “I’ve got to make this bread with Sony/Bad boy/Disney”

Proverbs 29:12
If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

The amount of deception that a leader tolerates determines the level of wickedness that can legally remain in a followers character.

Be careful who you follow, serve, or are influenced by. It can have a heavy impact on the purity of your character.

It’s Dangerous to Follow Wicked Leaders in times of Judgement.

When hypocrisy, evil and foolishness trickles down to all levels of society, there will be no more mercy left even for the young, the fatherless, the widows.

This is a time to Repent and Keep God’s Commandments! Find yourself with the DOERS of the Word!

Isaiah 9:16 For the LEADERS of this people cause them to err; and THEY THAT ARE LED OF THEM are destroyed.

17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their YOUNG men, neither shall have mercy on their FATHERLESS and WIDOWS: for every one is an HYPOCRITE and an EVILDOER, and EVERY MOUTH SPEAKETH FOLLY.

It’s Going Down in the 313

Finally figured out why God keeps showing me 313 (along with 11:11, 8:18, 12:12, 4:44, and 5:55)… 313 was the year that Constantine legalized Christianity and made it the official religion of Rome. Sounds like good news – but he actually swallowed, perverted and corrupted true Christianity.1700 years later in 2013, in the area code 313… God is bringing a complete end to the Greco Roman pagan cultural influences in His Church. What comes out of this will be beautiful, powerful, lifechanging, and completely glorifying to Jesus Christ alone.

Psychic Preachers?

If we understood that music was ministry we would understand that a Christian that samples secular music is like a pastor getting his message from the Sunday horoscope. Horoscopes can be pretty positive sometimes.

A Christian working with a secular label or artist is like a minister employed as a psychic during the week. Some psychics don’t cuss.

Your Kingdom determines your content. Your kingdom also determines your partnerships.

I don’t know about you but if my pastor did a voiceover for a restaurant commercial about food… I wouldn’t mind. If he did a voiceover for a porn hotline… that’s a problem.

Same thing with music… doing commercial music for an inanimate-object based businesses is cool.

Working for or with a Babylon-based label and doing so called “positive” content is NOT cool. Wrong kingdom.

2 Peter 2
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Are you clean? If you are clean, you will escape from those that live in error.

This Scriptures is in the context of false prophets and false teachers in the church. When there are people that Corrupt the church with false doctrine, it is our responsibility to escape from them.

Unbelievers are different situation. Of course we don’t have fellowship with unbelievers, but we don’t have to escape from a job with unbelieving coworkers (unless the job itself involves doing something wicked). However in the ministry context, purity and truth is very important.

Watching wicked entertainers and corrupt ministries brag about their success is like watching a mentally retarded prisoner on death row bragging about the free food he gets every day in prison.

Utter cluelessness towards death can be a very sad thing to see.

We don’t oppose these people in arrogance, we oppose them in sadness – for them – and with alarm for the people they are infecting with iniquity.

What does “obey” really mean?

Obey in Hebrews 13:17
Greek Word Peitho : be persuaded
(Ministry)

Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Obey in 1 Peter 3:6
Greek word – Hoopakouo: be commanded
(Family)

1 Peter 3:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

Call husband Lord: ruler
1 Peter 3:6

Pastors don’t be Lords, be examples
1 Peter 5:3
(Ministry)

1 Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.

As you can see by the slightest dig into those scriptures, the word “obey” means different things depending on if it’s in the context of family or church.

Beyond that, government and business also have different rules of engagement.

Different Spheres of Authority Exercise Authority in Different Ways

Family Authority is exercised by headship and commanding.

Spiritual Authority is exercised by preaching and by persuasion.

Government authority is exercised by taxes and by the sword (weaponry) against criminals. (Romans 13:4-7)

Business activity is governed by government with rules of fair exchange, honesty, and covenant keeping.

Beware of people that try to mix the authority applications in different spheres.

Matthew 20

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Matthew 23

8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

No preacher is your Daddy (Matthew 23:9). Their job is to persuade by preaching the Word, your job is to be persuaded by truth and submit to truth. Your families blessing comes from your obedience to God and commanding your family, not from sitting in the right pews.

No government runs your family. Your job is to obey the laws unless they violate Gods law. Their job is to manage their infrastructure and punish criminals, not supply your every need.

No pastor influences government with guns or politics- only by preaching and persuasion and prayer. You can’t save a nation by carnal warfare any more than you could save a soul by sticking them up and forcing them to repeat a sinners prayer.

No government has the right to limit anything a preacher talks about.

I could go on and on but I’ll finish up by saying this: God is the final authority over all the different spheres of authority. Everyone will have to reckon with HIM on how they used their authority.
