Women & Men: Raise Your Standard
A couple of weeks ago I shared a facebook status that really hit a nerve for a lot of people, so I want to expand on it.
Women: if you raise your standard, men will see it and mature themselves to it. The longer you talk to and put up with/immature, half-boyish game players, the worse it gets for you… Men too: Raise the standard!
Men are leaders but women have great influence. Most women receive foolishness ONLY because they tolerate it. They tolerate it either because they are foolish themselves and don’t listen to God, or because they don’t have a good father to see as an example, and so they don’t know the standard.
I’m not saying this to bash women; I need to raise standards in my life too. Godly Men need to raise their standards and refuse to tolerate things. But guess what… what women reward is what some men will aspire to. The more idiot women reward “players” and “boyfriends” with sex and attention… the more idiot players and boyfriends that we will have to deal with in this world.
High Standards actually Create what they Expect!
Women, this standard is NOT “I’m only marrying a millionaire,” or with anything having to do with your lust, your flesh, or your pride. The standard has to do with character. Does he fear God? Is he in control of his sexual desire? Think about this: if he will sin against God for you, then someday he will sin against you for someone else. If he is ruled by his penis then he is not a man yet.
The standard is not about $30,000 in the bank and a big house. I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor… but I always know how to work. Yes, marriage is a NATURAL thing, and money is necessary. Men, here are the questions you need to answer:
Have you found the work that you love to do?
Do you spend 6 days a week doing it?
I’m going to say that again:
Have you FOUND…
the WORK…
that you LOVE to do? That God BUILT you to do?
Do you SPEND SIX DAYS A WEEK doing that work?
If you have found the work you love to do that means you are connected with the gifts and talents that God has built inside of you. That’s not limited to a job. It’s a gift; it’s a talent, its something that you can do anywhere. But you can do it at your job.
If you spend 6 days a week doing that work; that means you have conquered your lazy flesh and you are not wasting your life playing games.
If you can answer those two questions correctly: MONEY IS NOT A PROBLEM.
If you do those two things, money will come to you. The only thing you have to do is learn how to save it. Money is not a problem, if you don’t give it away like an idiot. (I’ve been an idiot several times in my life, so I feel you if you are an idiot. You can easily get better).
But back to my point: The Standard is High, but it’s NOT Unattainable.
Character and Work Ethic is it.
Women: don’t tolerate anything less. The next time an idiot in the street says “Hey girl can I have your number?” Give him a gospel tract and don’t talk to him. The next time some church boy comes to you trying to be your “boyfriend.” Tell him that you are looking for a husband-man, not a boy. Don’t accept any words from him until he grows up and comes correct.
Men: Raise your standard, get into God, get into your work, and stop playing games!
