The Shedding of Innocent Blood Brings A Curse on the Land

I really had no plans on writing about this, until I realized that God was showing me a lot about it… Sometimes I catch on slow 🙂 This may be a little scattered, but bear with me.

It’s true that all the specifics of the case are not out yet. All the specifics may not be out yet, but there is enough out to make a complaint. There is a law that allows a man to chase and shoot an innocent man, warned by 911 not to chase him, kill the innocent man, and go free.

Those facts are out already, and they warrant a LOUD CRY FOR JUSTICE. We have to look into the facts to find out what George Zimmerman should actually be convicted of, but there ARE enough facts for Righteous People to speak up and say that THIS IS WRONG. Even if it’s just to change the law, Christians need to speak up for the oppressed.

Psalms 82

2How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

3Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

What do we know already?

Yes there are more facts to come out, but what do we already know? He chased a man who was not on his property, started a conflict and killed him. You don’t get any kingdom points for trying to figure out a justification for an innocent boy to be chased and gunned down by a grown man. How can you be expected to make a decision on what you DON’T know, when you have the wrong response to what you DO KNOW?

If we understood liberty and property we would think totally differently. If your response to a child that was chased and gunned down is “stop wearing hoodies” then I can already tell you what you don’t know. You don’t know God, the Bible, or liberty. This kid was chased and murdered, and Zimmerman didn’t KNOW any facts about the kid. Now some people want to say that in order to say anything about this we need to find out more? That’s not reasonable, that’s coldhearted. People of that opinion are literally looking for a way to justify the wicked and condemn the just.

The hypocrisy of using this for influence while ignoring abortion is horrible. But you know what else is hypocritical? The people that claim to hate abortion but want to justify this killing, and shedding of innocent blood and say “stop wearing hoodies.” When you try to find fault with the victim and make excuses for the predator, you are “justifying the wicked, and condemning the just.”

 

The Real Problem: Laws that Institutionalize the Shedding of Innocent Blood

Tragic deaths happen every day in America, and all over the world. But did you know that innocent blood brings a curse on the land?

Psalm 106:38
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.

 

Innocent blood is a really really bad thing. It pollutes the land, spiritually. It gets even worse when authority does it, and we all are responsible for it by voting for it, or by electing people who do it (read this blog on how to STOP Partaking In Other Men’s Sins).

Here lies the real reason for the outrage on the Trayvon Martin case. It’s not about race, or white vs. black & black vs white, or Democrat vs. Republican. The real reason for the outrage is that the person who died was innocent, and the person who killed him wasn’t even arrested. If George Zimmerman was immediately arrested, there wouldn’t even be a cry for justice. So why wasn’t he arrested? Perhaps because his father was a judge and his mother was a court clerk. But probably more because of the “Stand Your Ground” law.

The fact that there’s a law on the books that lets somebody chase someone that’s innocent, not on his property, be warned by authorities not to chase him, do it anyway, start a dispute, kill him, and then go free… THAT’S the problem. The problem is with the unjust Florida “Stand Your Ground” law, not just the killing. It’s a law that grants you immunity if you kill someone based on fear for your life.

Who Authorized our Authorities? We did.

Who authorized our authorities to create laws based on fear? Not literally, but spiritually. What’s the thought process that does this? It’s the same thought process that created gangster culture with the Prohibition. Ban alcohol unnecessarily, and create a whole new crime scene and gangster culture. The same thought process leads to pre-emptive strikes and to unconstitutional wars (without a declaration by Congress) all over America and the world. The same thought process violates the constitution with the Patriot Act, TSA, and NDAA. The same thought process designs a way that it can seize control over all food, farms, and livestock, and farm equipment. (It also hates Ron Paul’s Constitutional foreign policy and war on drugs policy too).

When we create laws based on fear of man, and not the fear of God, we end up with these types of results. We have to be careful of the laws that we authorize.  This is even more important if you are a Christian, because God has given us authority in the earth. What we bind on earth is bound in heaven, and what we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. This is even way more important if you are a teacher of the Word, because your spiritual mistakes wreak havoc in the natural realm when people live based on what you teach (James 3:1). So when Christians misuse, or don’t use their authority correctly, the world suffers as our spiritual mistakes trickle down.

God gives authority to humans, and what we do with it matters. If we disobey him, there are consequences. There are even many examples in the Bible that God anoints wicked leaders to chastise His people for their sins. When His people repent, God gives them better leaders. 

My goal iss not to teach democracy, but to show Christians that what we do actually matters, because we are in Christ, and He has authority in Heaven and earth. Our actions have greater consequences.

Here’s a quick example:

Abolitionist Movement = Christians using their authority correctly to deliver the oppressed

Prohibitionist Movement = Overzealous Christians trespassing the Bible, misusing their authority, and creating UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES (gangster culture that continues to this day)

It’s the same thing with abortion. The problem with abortion is the unjust law, not just the baby killing. It’s the fact that the killing is sanctioned and financed by our government, making us all a part of it (STOP Partaking In Other Men’s Sins). Over 54 Million babies have been legally killed in America since Roe v. Wade in 1973. Google it.

Government financed abortion was actually designed for genocide of the black race (watch Maafa21 for the History Lesson). But they have sold it to us so well, we curse ourselves and think that it’s our “choice to have more sex” without being “punished” with a baby.

Even so, what the church teaches and does can be linked to spiritually authorizing abortion.

But just like hypocrites on the “right”, hypocrites on the “left” only see their side of the issue.

 Innocent Blood Shed Without Accountability is A Recipe for GREAT CONFLICT.

Innocent people die in wars. But no one wants to hold our nation accountable to the Constitution for our wars… So Get Ready for More Conflict!

Innocent people die in the womb. But we want to call it “choice,” endorse it, and finance it as a nation. So Get Ready for More Conflict!

Trayvon Martin is an example of an innocent child that died, and the law in Florida looked the other way. So Get Ready for More Conflict!

Your REQUIREMENT of Responsibility, Sorrow, and Repentance

Responsibility in a Monarchy

In a monarchy, real people suffer or benefit from the actions of a king – but they are not responsible, because they are not the king, nor did they choose the king.

Responsibility in a Republic or Democracy

In a Republic, or a Democracy, people not only suffer or benefit from the actions of their elected leaders, but they are also responsible. Why are the citizens responsible? Because they vote, and  they give their authority to the actions of their government.

Yes, people are responsible before God for what they vote for and who they vote for. Why, because through voting, they are a partaker in the actions of their government.

Yes, part of Gods eternal judgment for you – if you live in a nation where you get to vote, is how you use your authority to run your country.

Does God care about the Affairs of Nations?

In this scripture God had replaced Saul as the King of Israel, but he still had punishment delivered to Israel and David because they had not atoned for the “bloody house of Saul” or the illegal murders he had committed.

God’s sense of justice is a lot more accurate than ours, even in the affairs of nations.

Acts 17

26And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

God sets times and boundaries for the habitations of nations. Contrary to what American Exceptionalism teaches – the Bible teaches that God gives nations boundaries.

Acts 9:15But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.

The Apostle Paul’s specific call was to preach to Gentiles, government authorities, and to the people of Israel. Why would God specifically anoint Paul to preach to Kings if Political and Government authorities didn’t matter to God anymore?

How You Use Your Authority Matters to God – Its for your Life –  Not just for Elections

No, You don’t get to bury your head in the sand and avoid being political. God cares about Monarchies; He cares about Republics, and Democracies. If you use your authority to vote for a certain person or for a certain cause, you are connected with that person and that cause.

So if you voted for a President who’s first act was to fund the abortion and genocide of millions of black babies, or first proclamation was to declare June gay & lesbian transgendered month, then guess what you did… You funded the abortion of millions of black babies, and you helped declare the month of June to be gay, lesbian, transgender month in America. You need the blood of Jesus to wash you from that sin. You can get forgiveness, but you have to acknowledge your sin, and ask for forgiveness.

If you voted for a guy who violated the Constitution and invaded another country on false pretenses, then guess what you did? Ditto. You had a part to play in that.  You need the blood of Jesus to cleanse you of that sin.

If you continually vote for corrupt politicians, not only will your city be ruined, but you will give an account to God for your vote. Everybody wants to clown Kwame Kilpatrick, but hey… he apologized, repented, and he’s moving on.

Have you apologized repented, and asked God for forgiveness for voting for Kwame? If you voted for him, you need to do that, because you were a partaker in his sins. The same applies for any other corrupt politician in the history of Detroit. You know that’s a pretty deep rabbit hole. If you are in it, you need to get yourself out of it, spiritually.

LAY HANDS ON NO MAN SUDDENLY, DON’T BE A PARTAKER IN OTHER MEN’S SINS, KEEP YOURSELF PURE

1 Timothy 5:22

22Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.

When Kwame was campaigning for Mayor of Detroit, I could not support him or vote for him. Praise God for his humble soul now; I know he has repented and is very talented and probably doing good things. But back then I knew he was a talented actor and a phony leader. I saw him praying in churches acting humble, then on the radio talking about how much he loved JayZ. Yet I went to churches and saw men of God laying hands on him, prophesying over him, and calling him anointed. These types of pastors and spiritual leaders not only helped ruin the city of Detroit, but they also are all partakers of his sins. The Church is especially responsible, because Jesus already gave us all authority in heaven and in earth – but we have misused it.

Lay hands on no man suddenly, and be not a partaker in other men’s sins.

Have these pastors, leaders apologized to the city, repented, turned the other way, and asked God for forgiveness? Or do they just see their mistake as Kwame’s episode? I’m not saying you’re condemned. No condemnation! -) I know that’s our favorite half-scripture in the Bible. I’m just saying that we must acknowledge our sin to God and turn the other way.

partaker: to enter into fellowship, join one’s self to an associate, make one’s self a sharer or partner

When God showed me revelation on spiritual adultery in gospel music, I no longer play those songs or promote artists who are teaching spiritual whoredom to God’s people. When artists that I had promoted in the past changed and went into natural and spiritual adultery, I then went the other way and warned people in my sphere of influence how to make better choices.

When a preacher or spiritual leader that we have empowered falls into sin or error, we have to repent for being a partaker of their sins. Only then can we restore them in a spirit of meekness.

It’s great to restore your brethren with a spirit of meekness if they are overtaken in a fault… but what if you are a partaker in their sins because you have laid hands on them, promoted them, or voted for them?

Do you just “restore” them, as if you were innocent, or restored yourself… not realizing that you both need to repent? Are you just going to move on, thinking that you are moving forward? No you’re not moving forward. We are just going around and around in the same downward spiral.

That’s why there are the same sins, scandals, and corruptions over and over again in every generation. People don’t even think that holiness or purity is possible anymore, because we as the Body of Christ have not followed Christ’s example yet.

No, we cannot gloss over sins and just move on, “keeping it positive.” No, we need to repent first, so that you can give others a clear message to repent from! The Bible says that Godly sorrow leads to repentance. That means if there is no Godly sorrow, there is no repentance.

IF THERE IS NO GODLY SORROW, THERE IS NO REPENTANCE OR SALVATION

 

2 Corinthians 7 10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

Godly sorrow is not glossing over and moving forward. In 2 Corinthians 7, God was speaking to Christians about their repentance, not sinners. Let’s look at the description of Godly Sorrow and Repentance for Christians in the New Testament:

Sorrow – grief, annoyance, sadness

Carefulness – haste, eagerness, diligence to change and do right
Clearing of yourselves – reasoned statement on how and why you act

Indignation – irritation, vexation, anger

Fear – terror, dread of what is wrong

Vehement Desire – longing, strong need for what’s right

Zeal – excitement, heat, fervor in spirit, pursuing, defending

Revenge – vengeance and punishment, not against people but against deception and principalities

Clear – pure, venerable, respectable, clean

That’s real repentance, and that’s when you have proved yourself to be clear of a matter. Imagine how different our churches, our cities, our nations would be if we didn’t just gloss over scandals, or look the other way, or just blame the person who did it. What if everyone who had partaken in the sins of a leader – by voting, laying hands on, or promoting them – actually understood that they were a partaker in his sins, and then went through the process of Godly sorrow and repentance?

I apologized to God for voting for and supporting President Bush. I didn’t know or take the time to research that after the initial conflict, he started unconstitutional wars and violated the Constitution with the Patriot Act. I will never vote for anyone remotely like him again. This is why I now support honest and consistent people like Ron Paul (who in the 3:20 mark in this video is known for not taking bribes) instead of Rick Santorum (who voted to fund Planned Parenthood) or Mitt Romney (Mitt flipping on abortion). Anyone who can comfortably flip flop and fluently talk out of both sides of their mouth – or anyone who can knowingly violate their integrity, then justify it as a win for the team is not worthy of leadership.

One of the first and foremost requirements for leaders in the OT and NT is that leaders don’t take bribes. Biblically, the leadership that we select reflects us. It is very telling to the situation in our nation that when God finally gives us a choice of a Christian, someone known for consistency, integrity, not taking bribes, and bringing back truth and accountability to government; evangelical Christians ignore him and try to decide between the Mormon and the Catholic.

This doesn’t mean that we can only vote for, support, promote, or lay hands on perfect people. It means that we need to take our authority seriously, hold people accountable, and fully repent whenever mistakes are made.

If Ron Paul doesn’t win, then at least I know that I didn’t give support to someone with no integrity. If Ron Paul is elected and then decides to break the law, or suddenly turns into the Anti-Christ, then I will hold him accountable. If he doesn’t change, I will repent, ask God for forgiveness and repent with Godly sorrow.

You are Responsible
I’m not concerned with simpleminded people that brag because they won an election, or a dispute, or a position… not realizing they just hung themselves spiritually. What are you really winning? If you won by supporting what’s wrong, you are just winning judgment on yourself! I’d rather lose temporarily and be right in heaven than win wrong now, because truth always comes out on top. God’s judgment is very REAL. It’s real right now, and it’s real in eternity. Realize that you are responsible and accountable for what you vote for, elect, lay hands on, or promote!

People that just bury their head in the sand and refuse to fight are accountable too. Is there not a cause? David came to the battlefield to fight Goliath for the kingdom of God (1 Samuel 17). Children are dying, and you want to hide?

We can’t give up on seeing the Lord’s harvest and the Righteous change that God wants to bring to the world. Part of righteousness is being a father to the poor, and searching out causes that you don’t even know yet.

Job 29 16I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. 17And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.

So while we are ignoring the signs of the times and the quarterly scandals that plague the Body of Christ, there is a generation being hardened and vaccinated against the truth. Just like vaccines inject people with a watered down weakened version of a virus in hopes that they become immune to the real thing – satan is doing the same thing against the truth. He’s making sure people get the hypocritical weak and watered down version of Christianity, so their soul can be immune to the real thing.

While we support leaders with no integrity and then act like we aren’t responsible – the city, the nation, and the children suffer for it.

If you vote for someone, or promote someone, or lay hands on someone – hold them accountable! You will be judged for what they do, because you will be a partaker of their sins.

Detroit Leadership Dream

For those of you that read Killing Idols For REVIVAL: A Behind the Scenes Look at 9 Enemies of God’s Harvest, you are familiar with the pattern of supernatural dreams and teachings that God used to show us how to defeat over 9 principalities and strongholds that inhibit revival and the 3rd Great Awakening in America.

We’ve got a surprise for you! I initially wrote this message out on Monday of this week. Noone saw it but me. Thursday, my wife had a dream… When she told me about it, I thought it was fitting. Come back later, and Lord willing, it will be posted right here:

I dreamed I took a bus to a fashion show with lots of people I knew from college. The fashion show was being held at a large building in Detroit. When we arrived, I and a few others went inside to get information before everyone else loaded off of the bus. When we went in the owner said the show had been cancelled. The owner was a prominent black business man in Detroit, who also claimed to be a strong Christian.

When he said the show was cancelled I commented that I was not coming to anymore events at the building because that was the second time an event I was going to attend had been cancelled. When the owner heard me say that he replied “just pray for me, I don’t even know how I am going to eat tonight”. Although the owner of the building looked and acted wealthy, he was actually very poor and was in a lot of debt with the property he owned, and did not even have enough cash to eat that night. The fashion show had been cancelled because the owner did not have the money.

The owner allowed his building to be used for Christian and secular events, whoever could pay were allowed to rent space in his building. When he said ‘just pray for me’ I took it serious and really went to lay hands on and pray for him. But before I prayed, I asked him sarcastically, “we had TheCall here and we prayed for 24 hours, did you come?” as if to say, if prayer is so important to you, why didn’t you come to TheCall. He did not answer…I laid hands on him and began to pray.

He started kissing my cheek, trying to seduce me and distract me from praying for him, but I ignored him and he stopped and I began to pray and see in the spirit. I prayed not for his finances, but that God would give him an obedient heart, and bless him to submit to God and do God’s will. As I was praying the large group I came with, came in off the bus. The room became filled with the many people off the bus and many leaders and pastors in Detroit. I stopped praying for the owner of the building and began to pray and speak over the whole room to all the leaders and pastors.

As I was praying and speaking, a lesbian couple came up and stood in front of me and started kissing. The one facing me was looking directly at me while kissing her partner. They were doing this trying to intimidate me with their homosexuality, as if I would not speak the truth for fear of offending them. The homosexual spirit in the women was familiar with the pastors, the lesbians kissed standing in front of me, but everyone could see them and not one of the pastors corrected them or said anything against them; it was as if it was a common thing. I could sense that the pastors did not like it, but they would not correct it either. I continued to speak and pray and the Lord began to speak through me and I walked towards the front where all the pastors and leaders were seated before the people.

The Lord spoke through me and said something like “until My work becomes your work it won’t work” or “until My will becomes your will it won’t work”. God was saying that nothing they try will work until they begin doing His will and His work. God was moving against them. That is why the owner of the building was falling into poverty, because God was moving against his works because he was not doing, nor was he concerned with God’s will.

I woke myself from the dream, because I was literally saying aloud in my sleep “it won’t work, it won’t work, it won’t work”.

Partial Interpretation Points

Much of the dream is self-explanatory, but here are a few potential points:

– Young people from college coming for a fashion show may represent a younger generation seeking to be clothed with righteousness, or a young generation coming to church for the wrong motives

– The pastor trying to seduce to stop the prayer could represent the seducing doctrine of the Nicolaitans or Jezebel

– The lesbians trying to distract the messenger and the pastors accepting it, could represent a feminine leadership style that appeals to the flesh of women

Unplanned Pregnancy::The Birth of Christ

The Lord has been ministering to me about the circumstances surrounding Mary’s pregnancy and the actual birth of Christ. I have been a bit discouraged about the problems we are facing with this current pregnancy and also remembering the stress I faced when carrying Champion. I was kind of thinking ‘why can’t things be nice and easy going? Why are things so hard’? ‘It should not be this way when I am pregnant’.

For a few days after these thoughts fluttered through my mind, the Holy Spirit drew me back to the pregnancy of Mary and the birth of Christ. Were things smooth and easy?…No! Was the pregnancy divine and called of God?…YES!

Mary’s Pregnancy: Unplanned

-The Lord could have chosen to bring Christ through a couple that was already married, he chose an engaged but unmarried woman. Although Mary joyfully accepted the blessing from the Lord and was honored to be chosen (Luke 1:46-55), I am sure the pregnancy interfered with her future plans. Married women, please imagine with me how you would go about explaining to your fiance that you are pregnant, but you were not unfaithful and you are still a virgin? And as the scripture reads it seems that Joseph was not sure what to do about the relationship once he found out and he was thinking about ending it privately, but God spoke to Him:

Matthew 1:18-25

18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

-The birth of Christ had been prophesied for thousands of years, Mary and Joseph also had heavenly visitations when his arrival was near. However, when it actually happened, the natural circumstances were so ordinary, you would have missed it if you were not spiritually in-tune.

-Jesus Christ, The Anointed One, Son of Almighty God was not born in a palace, but a manger.

-The spiritual realm rejoiced, the angels sang and proclaimed when He was born, many prophesies went forth (Elizabeth prophesied, the angels, Mary herself, the shephards, Simeon and Anna in the temple, etc.) but in the natural the situation seemed chaotic! Unwed pregnancy, long distance traveling far along in the pregnancy, giving birth while out of town (women who have had babies know how unnerving these things would be), laboring and giving birth surrounded by animals! Then on top of that you have to move right after the baby is born because a crazy king wants to kill your baby?! This does not seem glorious…but oh, how glorious is truly was…if you have a spiritual understanding:

6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

In conclusion, we must focus on the spiritual, on the supernatural in order to see the victory when the natural circumstances are not lining up. Joseph focused on what he saw in the spirit, what the Holy Spirit revealed to him and had the courage to marry a pregnant woman he had not touched. Mary focused on the supernatural in receiving the baby from God who would change the universe. They each had heavenly visitations and many prophesies to focus on and build their faith. They chose not to focus on the natural circumstances that seemed very unstable.

The Lord spoke to me concerning the baby I carry now. He said “as the seed of Mary’s womb was blessed, so is the seed of your womb blessed”. No, I am not carrying Jesus Christ, but the children that God is bringing into the world through my body are blessed and have a purpose in the kingdom of God. And this is where I have to direct my focus, when circumstances seem uncertain.

So as people of God we must focus on what the Word says (the supernatural) about family and children instead of the natural. What if Mary had rejected the blessing of receiving the son of God because of her natural circumstances? She believed God, and was blessed. Elizabeth prophesied to Mary “45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.”

The word says children are a blessing from God and a reward, should I focus on my circumstances? Or will I choose to believe God and be blessed like Mary? I choose to believe and be blessed!

Will we, as the people God has chosen, continue to reject having children? Rejecting the blessings God wants to give? What if Mary and Joseph had?

A WICKED AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION SEEKS A SIGN

Matt 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came , and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say , It will be fair weather: for the sky is red . 3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering . O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? 4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. Matthew 16

IS THIS A WICKED AND ADULTEROUS GENERATION?

Yes, we can see that. Wickedness is prevalent, and dominates society. We even have gospel witchcraft and Christian sorcery – spiritual adultery. So of course, natural adultery is commonplace too. There are TV shows about it. The divorce rate in the church is nearly the same as it is outside the Church. All the leading pastors and Christian artists do it, and they lead us in it to. What we don’t realize is that spiritual adultery and divorce towards God is the cause of the physical adultery and divorce in our relationships.

Yet we come to Jesus and pray for signs and miracles. Jesus told the wicked and adulterous generation that the only sign they will get is the sign of Jonah.

WHAT’S THE SIGN OF JONAH?

Jesus discussed Jonah in other areas of the scripture.

1. The sign of was Jesus going away for 3 days and rising again. Jonah was ‘as good as dead’ for 3 days, then ‘rose again’ preaching repentance.

Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

2. The sign of Jonah is a preacher telling people to repent.
Matthew 12:41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: becausethey repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold , a greater than Jonas is here.

Jesus said a greater than Jonah “IS HERE” present tense, even before He died. Jesus did the same thing that Jonah did, then he died and resurrected, and then sent hundreds more to do the same thing that Jonah did by filling them with the Holy Ghost.

WHY DID JESUS SAY THAT’S THE ONLY SIGN THEY GET?

They saw Lazarus raised from the dead. They still didn’t believe.
They heard about Jesus’s miracles; they still didn’t believe.
Jesus rose from dead; they still didn’t believe.
Jesus sent 12 more preachers telling them to repent because of the sign of Jonah; they still didn’t want to change what they thought, said, or did.

So even though there were multiple signs- there were signs of the times, signs & wonders, the only sign they got was the sign of Jonah. God said that he supernaturally closed their eyes and ears to the other signs until they received the sign of Jonah (Matthew 13:15, Acts 28:27). That’s actually the reason why he told parables, to hide the truth from those that wouldn’t repent.

But they still rejected it.
Don’t Reject the sign of Jonah.

The Lord can confirm His word with signs following, but He doesn’t confirm His signs with preaching following. You must repent before you can see the signs.

Repentance is the first priority. We love signs & wonders, God gives signs & wonders… but we don’t NEED signs & wonders.

We need repentance back to the heart of God. We need to change everything we are thinking, everything we are saying, and change everything we are doing.

We have people that don’t want to do that – but they want to see signs & wonders.

But when they see the sign of Jonah – a preacher preaching repentance, they wonder – “why won’t he shutup, he’s so negative?”

When they see the signs of destruction, famine and judgement, they wonder – “what’s the weather going to be like tomorrow on my way to work, hurry up and get to the forecast!”

What’s it going to take to bring the change? What is necessary to get people to humble themselves and pray, and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, so that God can hear from heaven, forgive sins, and heal their land?

Probably a messenger with specific insight to show that what they are already doing is wrong. So that they can change what they think, change what they say, and change what they do.

When I put this blog together I found out about this video by Sho Baraka about real change… so I decided to add it to this blog.

Two themes I noticed in this song: was telling entertainers on the stage, educators and students in the classroom, and preachers in the church to CHANGE, because “nobody’s living it.”

Is there anybody living it?
Is there anybody willing to change what they think, change what they say and change what they do?

I really feel Sho here… but I will say this as an encouragement:

Even in the days of Elijah when Jezebel ruled the people of God (just like she does now) God told Elijah that He had reserved 7000 for Himself that had not bowed the knee to Baal, the God of Money & Power that Jezebel and Ahab served (Romans 11:4).

I believe God has a few people ‘living it’ today. These are not only the Nazarite lifestyles, but the Nazarite VOICES that will be the sign of the prophet Jonah and tell people to REPENT.
