DID THE BIBLE COME FROM THE EUROPEANS AND THE ROMAN CATHOLICS?
Q:Where was the first bible actually presented? I was recently told from my professor that the Europeans brought the bible over to Africa as well as Roman Catholics.
A:The Bible is a collection of books that have been approved by the Holy Spirit to be authentically inspired by God and sufficiently prophetic to the testimony of Jesus Christ the Messiah. The people of God were the children of Israel. The Old Testament aka First Testament was recorded and collected by them. Moses was a prophet that came out of Egypt, and God used Him to rescue the true testimony of History and the Prophecy of the Future Messiah from the pagan false religions of Egypt. The testimony of God continued through the prophets of Israel as they desperately tried to keep Israel from idolatry and spiritual failure.
Then there was a period where God ended His testimony and did not speak. This was the period where a lot of extra “Apocryphal” books were written. Then God came and spoke through His Son Jesus aka Yeshua the Messiah. His testimony was recorded by eyewitnesses and by His Apostles. The 27 books of the New Testament aka Second Testament was recorded by Christ followers from the people of Israel and it was verified by the entire Body of Christ followers.
After the Romans destroyed Jerusalem many Romans tried to appropriate Jewish culture and write their own versions of different gospels. (The Roman empire still operates the same way today, “discovering” and misappropriating other cultures). This is where a lot of extra books and false gospels come from, but they were not verified by the Body of Christ.
So to answer your question, the Europeans had nothing to do with recording the bible and bringing it to Africa. Europeans had a very important role in translating the Bible afterward, and spreading it to different languages all over the world. But the Romans had nothing to do with the Original Scripts. Roman Catholicism was the Roman Empire’s cultural misappropriation of Christianity and the Roman Catholic church had absolutely nothing to do with recording or verifying the bible. The Council of Nicea came in 325 AD, it was simply another cultural misappropriation of Christianity. Christianity and the entire Canon of the Bible had already been well established by the Body of Christ well before the Roman Empire came to try and corrupt it.
The Body of Christ had most of the books of the New Testament together sometime before 70 A.D. because that’s when Jerusalem was destroyed. The Book of Revelations from Apostle John was given a few years after that, sometime before 100 AD.
According to gotquestions.org, by AD 250 most Christians agreed by the Spirit on what the inspired books were. https://www.gotquestions.org/canon-Bible.html
WHAT’S THE PROBLEM WITH THE GOSPEL ON AN UNGODLY STAGE?
Q: I just don’t understand how being invited to perform your gospel song on a secular stage is so bad?
A: You can only change the environment if you refuse to follow the world. That brings persecution, not praise and acceptance. Scriptures are clear on this.
John 7:7
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
John 15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hatethyou.
1 John 3:13
Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
If he was invited to perform, he already had to completely change his whole message. That’s just part of the problem. It’s not scriptural. Doctrine of Balaam is speaking the Word of God but under the authority of the wicked. Its only used to bring a curse and a stumblingblock before God’s people.
Problem is, when you compromise to preach the gospel, you get the fruit of a compromised gospel, which is bad fruit. Jesus said hypocrites travel land sea to get a convert, and turn the convert into twice the child of hell that they are. There is no getting around holiness even in our evangelism.
That’s in Matthew 23
BUT I THOUGHT JESUS HUNG OUT WITH SINNERS PROSTITUTES AND TAX COLLECTORS?
Q:You know Jesus hung with the tax collectors right?
A: It’s a popular cliché to say that Jesus hung out with prostitutes and sinners. But when we open the bible, reading comprehension shows us that it was the Pharisees who said that. The people that followed Jesus followed Jesus by repenting from their sin, so they were no longer sinners. The Pharisees CALLED them sinners, and the Pharisees were LYING.
Obama example “My critics say… blah blah blah.” Is Obama really saying that or is he just paraphrasing his critics for a purpose?
Yes, tax collectors and sinners repented from their sin with Jesus. Jesus did not go to celebrate sin with sinners. He called sinners to repentance, so they repented. When they came in contact with Jesus they were actually repenters, because that’s what Jesus preached. I’ve taught this patiently for years and years… please read the scriptures and look at what’s actually happening.
Luke 16 Zacchaus is an example of repentance.
You don’t have to compromise holiness to preach the gospel. We have to use context clues when we read the bible and stop leaning on clichés.
When you ignore the scriptures and use clichés yo are not just violating scripture, you are violating 8th grade reading comprehension skills, you are violating your conscience, violating logic, and violating the Holy Ghost.
When people say “I hate religious people” and “Jesus ate with sinners” without actually studying the bible, they are opposing the spirit of Christ… its actually anti-Christ! False Cliches replacing scriptures can literally turn your spirit anti-Christ! Cliches have become so popular that people don’t even realize they are doing the exact opposite of what Jesus taught and did!
IF ISRAEL COULD KILL THE CANAANITES WHY COULDN’T AMERICA KILL NATIVE AMERICANS?
Q: What’s the difference between the Jews going in and killing people to take the land that God gave them and the way America was established? Weren’t the Native Americans worshiping animals, the moon and even doing human sacrifice? The Aztecs were known for that.
A: Look up the iniquity of the Amorites. The sexual sin of the Caananites was punishable by God. God always uses nations to punish other nations. By most accounts Native Americans were peaceful people that would have responded to the gospel and didn’t require genocide. Western genocides were fueled by sorcery and greed not by God.
Also, God had a covenant with Abraham He didn’t have one with George Washington. When God punished the land of Canaan for the iniquity of the Amorites, God said it had to be FULL before they could be destroyed. FULL as in Sodom & Gomorrah type level, sexual sin every day in every way type of level.
I’m not a Native American expert but I know that God did NOT commission a genocide instead of the gospel of Christ being preached. Especially after Jesus came and died on the cross for the sins of Native Americans and told Christians to preach the gospel to every creature. I’m sure they deserved more grace than Ninevah.
I’m sure that the Puritans and Revivalists had good intentions. But the Deists and the Masons and the Columbuses and the Conquistadors that purposefully practiced extortion, broken covenants, genocide… these people are all wicked.
Jesus did NOT preach political or economic conquest! Jesus NEVER called ANYONE to preach the gospel thru political conquest, colonization, war, genocide, economic oppression, or slavery. People who did those things in the past are NOT written in Gods book, they are more than likely suffering in hell if they did not repent and obey the gospel.
3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
COULDN’T GOD USE AMERICANS TO BRING JUDGEMENT ON NATIVE AMERICANS?
Q: God used Babylon to bring a judgment on Israel, so why couldn’t He use the Deists and Masons to bring a judgment on the Native Americans?
A: I actually do believe that America is part of last days Babylon. So while America has been used to punish, it will eventually be punished itself.
Yes, every nation will reap what they sow… That’s an immutable law. God also punishes the punisher… nations that overstepped their boundaries. God can use nations to bring judgement, but often that nation reaps even MORE judgement for their own wickedness. So even if God uses you to punish someone else all that means is that you can expect an even harsher punishment for yourself if you don’t do right.
WHAT’S THE PURPOSE OF MARRIAGE?
Q: Biblically what is the purpose of marriage?
A: It’s amazing you asked that we just did our first pre-marriage counseling session yesterday and that’s the first thing we talked about. Basically the purpose of marriage is for the man to be able to teach and command his children, disciples, and employees to keep God’s Commandments, and to raise Godly Seed. The fruit of the married couples relationship with God is supposed to bless the nations of the earth thru obedience. Basically to take your relationship with God, and be fruitful and multiply in every way.
Genesis 1
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 18
17 And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;
18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
Malachi 2
14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16 For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
