Single Minded Faith is Maturity, Double Mindedness is Immature

Single Minded Faith is Maturity, Double Mindedness is Immature

Double minded men don’t receive anything from the Lord so they must steal from others! Hold onto God’s wisdom with a single minded focus in faith, and obey His instructions. Be stable, don’t waver back & forth. Don’t waver between trusting in men or trusting in God.

God rewards real faith with real instructions. Doubting God is not a sign of maturity, its a sign of instability because you would rather rest in man’s approval than obey God’s instruction of wisdom. This instability shows up in other areas of your life as well.

Be single-minded in faith and wisdom!

James 1
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

To the Young Talented Christian : Childhood and Youth Are Vanity

Being young talented and cute is very beneficial, and actually to your advantage in American hollywood/hip hop/Greco Roman performance-image based culture.

But over here in the kingdom of God we don’t need more kid actors with young dumb cute talent… we actually value maturity, wisdom, growth, faithfulness, and good fruit.

We don’t mind having jobs, keeping marriage covenants, raising godly children, building and serving churches… We press toward the mark and grow up into stability and maturity. Listen up, Grow up, and yes we need your voice but please speak for God and not for yourself!

Ecclesiastes 11
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.
10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

Body of Christ – Do We have Misplaced Passions?

It’s easy to get pumped up about gay marriage and Islam and IsiS and abortion and injustice and politics… but the bible says that judgement begins IN the house of God. Are we passionate about purity? Yes we should watch and pray, but we can only control our obedience. Sinners sin, we all know that but whose fighting to cleanse inside of the temple?

The only time Jesus got aggressive was to get rid of the thieves WITHIN the temple. What we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, we have the authority to change the world and save the lost if we look inside the church because WE are the Body of Christ. So let’s prove it!

Sabbath Rest with Small Children

Amazing insight and good practical tips

Noon: Rest by Vincent van Gogh
Ever since my first child was born, I have struggled with what it means to have true Sabbath rest. Before kids, my husband and I would reserve one day a week for extra time in the word and prayer, extra time with each other, extra sleep, and rest from our work.

Then along came our daughter and suddenly I had a new job that came with 7 twenty-four hour shifts each week. It has been and continues to be a learning process to figure out how to find time to truly rest, as well as to fulfill all my responsibilities as a mother that don’t have the option of being put on hold. Here are a few ideas that we’ve come up with in our family for keeping a Sabbath day restful and truly refreshing. It would be great to hear your ideas too! In our schedule, Saturday is generally…

Do His Will… The FRUIT is in the Doing, not the Talking

Find more joy in actually doing God’s will than you do in having a good appearance before men, winning arguments, and appearing righteous on the outside… Then you will be on your way to a fruitful life with maximum rewards in heaven.

John 7:17
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

You may have been HURT, but don’t do damage to Gods Holy Word

Many people all over the world have suffered from religious abuse, so ministering with sensitivity to people that may have been hurt in the past is necessary. However, abuse of a certain scripture does not mean we get to erase those scriptures out of the Bible or neuter and spay them for our own comfort and convenience.

It’s better to put down our pride, ask God to heal our hurts, get in fasting and prayer, and get an honest Holy Spirit understanding of what God says in His Word.

Matthew 18 is not a Copout

“I love this “make a bunch of money off of iniquity and nobody can say anything about it because you are Christian” Matthew 18 copout theology.

Since they can only contact me personally before they say anything, all I have to do is ignore them and keep the money rolling in. It’s a perfect environment for me to get rich off compromise and still make it seem like I’m serving God. Perfect atmosphere for me to let other wolves in sheeps clothing into the flock. I hate these troublemakers always preaching the truth boldly, they cramp my style.” – says the false prophet and deceiver of the last days in Matthew 24.

Matthew 18 is not a copout. Hirelings flee when the wolf comes to eat the flock (John 10).

People that care for the Body speak the Word and rebuke with all authority they don’t play political games while young believers are having stumbling blocks cast into their path.

Get Your Own Oil

When you live off the revelation of others, it doesn’t take too long for that revelation to go dark. Get your own oil for your own lamp! Buy it by spending time with God and in His Word. Matthew 25.

Justice versus Oppression

Oppression is the the imposition of the SIN of the powerful upon the lives of the weak.

Justice is the imposition of the force of RIGHTEOUSNESS on sin.

Resistance to oppression must be done with the power of righteousness to have any effectiveness.
