Character POTENTIAL vs PROVEN Integrity

You may have the potential to be honest, but until you are given an opportunity to lie or steal, your character is unproven.

You may have potential to be physically chaste and disciplined, but until you have the opportunity to fulfill lust, your character is unproven.

You may have the potential to serve God, but until you have the opportunity to believe His Gospel, keep His Commandments, and submit to His Ordinances, your character is unproven.

Your integrity is proven by the opportunities you take to discipline your words and actions everyday.

1 Timothy 3:6-7,10
[6]NOT A NOVICE, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
[7]Moreover he must have A GOOD REPORT OF THEM WHICH ARE WITHOUT; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
[10]And let these also FIRST BE PROVED; then let them use the office of a deacon, BEING FOUND BLAMELESS.
