Q: Does 1 Cor. 6:16 suggests that we create marriage with our connections sexually?

A: I’ve heard people say that but im not buying that analogy as a redefinition of marriage. That Scripture was a rebuke against fornication. It wasn’t redefining the marriage covenant by saying that sin initiates covenant.

Q: Was Jesus saying that fornication starts a marriage when he told the woman at the well that she had 5 husbands?

A: No, marriage is a covenant. Covenants are binding promises spoken by the mouths of humans that are made in the image of God (See Genesis 2).
Fornication doesn’t make a marriage. When Jesus told the woman she had 5 husbands it was not redefining marriage. If that was the case He would not have said that the person she was living with at the time was not her husband yet.
Most likely he was referring to the law where if your husband died you married his brother. The woman had a hard life, like Tamar in the Genesis 39.
Samaritans were Israelite replacements and they had a mixed religion where they tried to keep some of the Mosaic laws mixed with paganism.
It’s hard for us to imagine one woman having to marry 3, 4, or 5 brothers if they die… but in a tribal/spiritual culture where men are needed to both protect their property and where keeping the family name going is important, these things happen.

10th Commandment: the Heart Commandment

Psalm 119:97 O how LOVE I THY LAW! it is my meditation all the day.

We know that the New Covenant of King Jesus is a HEART Covenant. It creates New Hearts and Soft Hearts.

But did you know that the Testimony of YAH, aka the 10 Commandments, also has a HEART based Commandment embedded within it?

The other 9 Commandments in YAH’s Will and Testimony are specifically targeted towards ACTION.

The 10th CUTS straight to the HEART!

Your heart can covet without you saying or doing anything.

Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Thou shalt not COVET, DESIRE, anything that is thy neighbors.

In other words: do not desire anything that I have given to someone else.

Your neighbors wife: do not DESIRE her in your HEART. Honor what I have given you.

Your neighbors house: do not DESIRE it in your heart. HONOR what I have given you.

Your neighbors talent, gifting, calling: do not DESIRE it in your HEART. Honor what I have given you.

Your neighbors property, business assets, employees: do not DESIRE them in your HEART. Honor what I have given you.

Your neighbors body, hair, skin: do not DESIRE it in your HEART. Honor what I have given you.

The New Covenant is a HEART Covenant… and YAH has ALWAYS desired truth in the inward parts.

The 10th Commandment is one of the tools I have used to clean up my heart!

This Commandment attacks the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life.

This one Commandment also cuts off so many other heart based iniquities such as envy, pride, self-hatred, strife, vanity, competition, self-promotion, hate, etc…

You can use this Commandment with the help of the Holy Spirit to VERBALLY confront and destroy your desires for things that are not yours on a daily basis.

This 10th Commandment is also a REFLECTION of Commandment number 5, which commands us to honor our father and mother so that we can live long and prosper on the property that God has given us.

In other words: if we honor what God has given us thru our parents (our genetics, gifts, talents, inheritance, etc) then we will prosper enough to have and honor our own, and we will not need to COVET or DESIRE the things that YAH has given to someone else.

The Father and the Son are ONE. The Son’s New Covenant is simply a Continuation of the Father’s Commandments: with a new and living Grace and Truth to fulfill it.

Psalms 19:7 The LAW of the LORD IS PERFECT, CONVERTING THE SOUL: the TESTIMONY OF THE LORD IS SURE, making WISE THE SIMPLE.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, REJOICING THE HEART: the COMMANDMENT of the Lord is PURE, ENLIGHTENING THE EYES.
9 The FEAR OF THE LORD IS CLEAN, enduring for ever: the JUDGMENTS of the Lord are TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS ALTOGETHER.
10 More to be desired are they than GOLD, yea, than MUCH FINE GOLD: SWEETER also THAN HONEY and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy SERVANT WARNED: and in keeping of them there is GREAT REWARD.
12 Who can understand his ERRORS? cleanse thou me from SECRET FAULTS.

What should you do?

Notice that Jesus’s declaration of Seeking and Saving the lost came after a declaration of TANGIBLE fruits of repentance from Zacchaeus.

Daniel 4:27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and BREAK OFF THY SINS BY RIGHTEOUSNESS, and thine INIQUITIES BY SHOWING MERCY TO THE POOR; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility.

Angels are not omniscient and they cannot read your mind or see your heart.

When angels rejoice over the sinner that repents, they are rejoicing over tangible repentance that they can see.

Not just with the mouth, but actions and tangible recompense of the poor.

Q: If you are single, no wife, no children you can focus on ministry. This is why Paul said it’s better to be single right?

A: Yes, it’s partially true if you are single, a widow, or divorced/separated from your spouse… but that was Paul’s opinion too.

1 Corinthians 7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. 7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. 8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I.

– Paul’s own opinion was that the gospel was spread better by people that refused to be married. They could fast, pray, and travel to preach more without distraction.

– The Father’s Creation ordinance of family can spread the kingdom of God just as effectively as single people and widows that focus on prayer and fasting.
– Both have a role.

The major point that Paul was making in 1 Corinthians 7 is that whether you are a virgin, a widow, or abandoned by an unbelieving spouse; you have a GREAT opportunity to change the world by prayer and fasting and serving the Lord without distraction.

The gospel of the kingdom can be spread by Godly marriages too. Some of the best disciples are the ones you raise in your home. That’s partly why the Lord ordained that those who preach the gospel live off the gospel, so that the apostles that were married would be able to support their families instead of neglecting them.

So in the Old Covenant, the blessing of the Kingdom was spread through the families of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But the Old covenant failed and our families/heritages of Israel was Scattered.

In the New Covenant: Godly Families AND Undistracted Unmarried Saints come together form ASSEMBLIES. The Kingdom of God is spread through family disciple makers AND unmarried disciple makers in CONGREGATIONS/ASSEMBLIES/ECCLESSIAS of Believers.

According to King Jesus – the only thing that is anointed to prevail against the Gates of Hell is His Congregation built on Revelation Knowledge of Himself. Our families and our heritages won’t prevail unless we are built into the Body of Christ!

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, BLESSED art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CONGREGATION; and the GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL against it. 19 And I will GIVE UNTO THEE THE KEYS of the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

No parachurch or entertainment or social media ministry is anointed to prevail against the gates of hell.

No false corrupted church based on lawlessness or politics is anointed to prevail against the gates of hell.

Unfortunately, the Tribes of Judah and Israel are also complete failures at prevailing against the gates of hell… and the evidence for that is all over the earth.

It’s only when GODLY families and UNDISTRACTED Unmarried saints come together to form Scriptural, New Covenant ECCLESIAS/ASSEMBLIES under Yashuah/Jesus our Messiah that we can prevail against the gates of hell.

HOMOSEXUAL DIVORCE?

Q: If two homosexual people get married and one finds Christ and is now a believer should they stay married or get separated until the unbelieving spouse becomes a believer. Can 2 homosexuals find Christ and remain married in matrimony? Which one will sanctify the other? If they should divorce explain your reasoning. Also keep in my it should be clear for everyone across the board.

A: Homosexuality is not marriage.

Marriage is a God ordained covenant between a man & a woman – made publicly with the words of their mouths.

Homosexuality is an abomination, meaning it is physically harmful, against natural productivity, and against God’s Creation order.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

They should repent from their sin. Their marriage covenant is not real in God’s eyes, so it can be dissolved with no consequence.

Matthew 19: 4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

One-flesh covenant marriage is when a male and female make a public covenant with their mouths – God sees it and holds them to it.

Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Genesis 2: 23 And Adam SAID, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be ONE FLESH.

PAUL VS JESUS?

Q: I always stop listening to Paul when he starts stating his opinion. He isn’t the ultimate authority. I believe this way and help me if I’m wrong?

A: One of the best ways to interpret Scripture is by Agreement. We know for certain that the Father Agrees with the Son, the Son Agrees with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit Agrees with the Prophets, and Jesus Taught His Original 12 and Apostle Paul, and Paul came to Agreement with Peter (Galatians 2, 2 Peter 3:16).

EVERYONE AGREES! THAT’S KEY TO UNDERSTANDING ALL SCRIPTURES.

However, Paul was one person who did things a little different in some ways because he was single and didn’t have a family. He also communicated things in a different way because He was mostly preaching to Gentiles instead of Jews that had history being the family of God.

Paul was very honest about separating his opinion from the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. That’s a good thing. I most definitely put the Lord’s commandments and ordinances above Paul’s opinions and advice also. But 99% of what Paul taught was directly from the Lord. And the 1% that’s not, he made it clear and obvious so we don’t have to guess.

And yes you definitely want to follow the Lord in the 1% of areas where Paul did differently.

Examples:

13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

– The Lord commanded Believers not to leave their spouses – and if forced to separate – to remain unmarried.
– Paul gave even further encouragement to stay with spouses in order to save them. The difference is that Paul had more hope that unsaved spouses would be SAVED by the saved spouse. The Lord didn’t PROMISE that, but Paul (and Peter) saw that process in action, and therefore encouraged saved spouses to use their marriages to help save unbelieving spouses.
– Not a huge difference, but just more hope using marriage as a strategy for saving your covenant spouse.

1 Corinthians 9: 14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.

– The Lord ordained financial offerings to be given to support the preachers of the gospel. (Also to support their families).
– Paul decided not allow a certain congregation give him money and chose to get a job because he was unmarried, and wanted to show them by example how to work a non-ministry job.
– It may be good to note that Paul’s biggest problems with sin and false doctrine were at the churches that he refused to allow to support him. Proving that the Lord’s wisdom is more effective than our creativity.
