Calvinism & American Slavery

Calvinism is part of the root cause of slavery in this nation. John Wesley and George Whitfield were contemporaries. Wesley preached against slavery. George Whitfield, a Calvinist, preached in favor of slavery, for the sake of profit and creating a succesful nation. Georgia was a state that had banned slavery until Whitfield preached and promoted it. George Whitfield is considered the spiritual founding father of America. How’s that for division? Spiritual caste systems helped create political and economic caste systems.

Well Done Good & Faithful Servant

If you want to hear the Master say “Well done, good and faithful servant,” then you have to know that “good” work represents quality & purity, and that “faithful” work represents quantity over time.
2 Timothy 2: 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
1 Corinthians 3: 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Man is unrighteous. But God is not!
HARD WORK PAYS OFF!!!!!
Hebrews 6:10 For GOD IS NOT UNRIGHTEOUS to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not invain in the Lord.
Matthew 10:42
And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
God loves everyone the same. No one can earn salvation. But more obedient work does equal more rewards. If we don’t teach that, we promote the mentality that you can do whatever you want your whole life, (just be sure to “pray the prayer” before you die), and that its unprofitable to serve God. This is a dangerous mentality.
Quality and Quantity matters.
- Your labor is not in vain in the LORD. Quality work adds up over the years.
- God’s benefits package is 2nd to none. He has the best offer!
- God is not unrighteous and He will not forget your labor of love. God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
- It is not vain to serve the LORD. God is an expert accountant and He is writing down everything you do for the glory of His Name.
- When He comes – His reward is with Him!

People are protesting the lyrics to the anthem that celebrates the massacre of slaves. People are protesting police brutality without justice. Real Christians don’t hallow or sanctify a flag, they hallow and reverence the Name of Jesus. Only the Roman Empire would require you to pay homage and sacrifice to an idol it creates, and then attack you for not doing it.
This is why most early Christians were killed. They refused to pay homage to Caesar because Jesus is LORD. It’s not within the character of Jesus to attack a person for not paying homage to a flag. #BabylonStatesofAmerica #RomanEmpire
