eSoSa: When did spoken life project start?
Itohan: Spoken Life Project is a Gospel-centered performing arts ministry, known primarily for spoken word poetry, founded January 2009. Our primary goal is to use our art and lives to make Jesus Christ known. We also actively encourage, train, and disciple other artists in the body.
eS0Sa: Where all have you traveled to do your spoken word?
Itohan: We have traveled all over the country. Every coast/ region. And we hope to travel more internationally in the near future. We are asked to come speak at anything from open mic poetry nights to church openings, youth conferences, concerts, private events, and teachings/workshops. We also spend time purposely going to venues to share the Gospel where it is not commonly heard.
eSoSa; What is your most memorable time of ministry?
Itohan: For me, the most memorable time of ministry was 2009 and 2010. Particularly the Spring and Summer season of both. The Lord was really challenging us to think outside of ourselves and expose more of ourselves than I think we had ever planned to. Both by sharing our testimonies through poetry so that God can get praise and glory through our lives, and by serving, traveling, and speaking as much as the Holy Spirit gave us strength to serve. We were really passionate about reaching the lost and building up the bride. There were specific shows that left us completely broken. The sweet presence of the Lord, that was felt and made visible through the hearts responding to the Gospel, could not be explained. And to see God use yourself, in all your brokenness for His glory, and then have hours on the road or on a plane to reflect on it was amazing.
eSoSa: How do you describe the art of spoken word?
Itohan: Spoken word is performance poetry. It is poetry that is purposeful and entertaining. I believe it also has some sort of message, and it is best MEMORIZED!!
eSoSa: What type of new things are you into right now?
Itohan: I think right now teaching and training others is a big part of what we are doing now. Also, partnering with other ministries and building community. We believe in uniting with others on the foundation of the Gospel. That means alliances with a variety of artists, churches, ministries, labels, etc. We want to see the bride united and thriving. So that God will be glorified through our love and Him and each other. There are also a lot of solo projects in the works, videos, albums, books, and blogs.

Lucifer was an expert at bringing iniquity into the presence of God. That’s why he became Satan.
That’s why God gave us the Holy Ghost so that we would not become expert at bringing iniquity into the presence of God.
When you resist the Holy Ghost you can become skilled at bringing iniquity into the presence of God. Satan can use you easily.

Part of the mystery of iniquity is to entice people’s commitment to chasing more and more of something that has less & less value as time goes on.
Which is why wicked business transactions are always setup in the devaluing of money, and the currency or transaction must always be diluted, to maintain control over the souls.
Because the love of money is the root of all evil. Remember the iniquity in Satan had a lot to do with his merchandising too, not just his musical talent and beauty.
But Babylon is falling in Jesus name!

We Kill Idols to Save the Children
The first reason we kill idols is because we love Jesus and we want Him to return. The Spirit of Elijah is to prepare the way of the Lord. Jesus Himself said “the spirit of Elijah comes first, to restore all things” before His return.
The second reason we kill idols is to save the children of the next generation. God said that His people perish for lack of knowledge. If we reject His Word, we cannot be His priests, and if we forget His Word, He will forget our children.
That is a sad generation of children that are rejected by God because their parents rejected His word. We need to save them. Love desires to save them AND their parents if possible.
Hosea 4
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.
The doctrine of Jezebel is important to understand because she uses it to reach many people, and she brags about her “fruit.” But Jesus clearly says that if she does not repent, it’s only a matter of time before JESUS KILLS HER CHILDREN WITH DEATH!
Do you want to know why so many saints and even ministries are falling away from their first faith? JESUS is Killing the spiritual children of Jezebel with spiritual death! Jesus cannot tolerate spiritual adultery being passed on more than two generations.
We need to eliminate the spirit and doctrine of Jezebel to save these children before they get KILLED WITH DEATH. Love does what it takes to bring true repentance with fruit unto salvation.
Revelation 2
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

If I am a shepherd, should I have mercy (covenant faithfulness) on the wolf, or mercy (covenant faithfulness) on the bleeding lamb caught in the wolf’s mouth? If I flee, I am a hireling. If I follow the Chief Shepherd, I lay my life down for the sheep. If I keep covenant faithfulness (mercy) with the wolf in eating the sheep, then what am I?

God Allows false apostles and false prophets to grow and flourish so that those who love Him in truth can prove their love and integrity with the decisions they make to test them and stand against them and avoid them.
Revelations 2:2
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
2 Thessalonians 2
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
False teachers are easy to spot because they violate scripture. They are only easy to spot if you are biblically literate: having read the bible cover to cover several times while filled with the Holy Spirit in proper Christlike discipleship.
False prophets are a lot trickier because they say everything right and are great actors but they do the opposite and spread corruption and mixture and iniquity.
False apostles are the hardest to test. They say that themselves or their organization is “sent” from God, but their motive is always to eat the flock. It takes time for their corrupt fruit to show up, and they are really good at making themselves into “ministers of righteousness.”
But time always tells that they are “workers” of iniquity. Iniquity spreads as they continue to grow. Eventually iniquity turns into obvious sin, like a virus that takes time before the symptoms show up.
2 Corinthians 11:13
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Thank GOD for True Leaders who Love the Flock more than they Love the Devil!
They feed the Flock because they Love JESUS first (John 21).

Re: the first openly gay male pro athlete being a black man who grew up in a Christian home. Homosexuality is the pinnacle of the cultural worship of the creature rather than the Creator. Romans 1.
So as the church departs from holiness, the Holy Ghost, and the pursuit of God to pursue earthly beauty, artistic & vocal excellence, power and the praise of men – you can expect the devil to walk right thru that open door that we left for him.
We have become a Greek/Roman culture based church, so we can expect Greco Roman cultural fruit. Who will bring the fruits of repentance on behalf of the people of God?
