The Lord Teaches Me to Profit

People quote this scripture a lot, but i want you to see the full blessing that comes on a people or nation when we follow the Lord. When we keep God’s commandments, He teaches us how to profit, leads us in righteousness and peace, and multiplies our seed and children. He also keeps our name connected to His name.

Isaiah 48
17 Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

18 O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

19 Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

doctrine of balaam: Balaam could not cursed the people of God because they were blessed. So the wicked king Balak kept trying to pay him to do it. In the end Balaam still could not curse the people of God, but he ended up getting paid to teach King Balak how to send strange women to them, to get them to stumble in fornication, and curse themselves.

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Satan sends curses that try to wander and fly around your head looking for a place to land. If you don’t let them land they cannot land on you! The curse causeless cannot come!

God Sent the Holy Ghost not the Marketing Department

God did not send the marketing department to give us the power to be a witness, He sent the Holy Ghost to do that. Don’t be distracted by thieves and robbers, focus on Jesus.

When prideful hearts hear things that give glory to a haughty man, they are glad.

Real Leadership is Not the Gift of Gab

If you think that the gift of gab and a talent for self-promotion is equivalent to leadership, you are probably on one of the broad roads leading to destruction.

Look for fruits of humility, obedience, character, and sacrificial love.

Leadership is a wonderful gift and talent to have, but it can also be dangerous.

Because the EASIER it is for you to lead people with your personality, the LESS you are likely to listen and depend on God’s Voice and Commandments.

Life & death in the power of your tongue is real. Maturity in Christ is attainable, not thru intellectual pride, but thru love, humility, and obedience. If you seek God you can find Him in Jesus Christ and His Word!
