Discerning False Teachers and False Prophets, and Knowing them By their FRUITS

Discerning False Teachers and False Prophets, and Knowing them By their FRUITS

Deception is not a matter of intelligence. Deception is a matter of character, integrity and love for the truth.

According to 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12, God is sending a strong delusion. Why? To manifest who is in love with truth and who isn’t. This is why you have to love the truth more than you love your life. This is not about intelligence; because a high IQ doesn’t prevent deception. This is about character, integrity, and love for the truth.

If you were living in John chapter 6 and you took out a YouTube clip of Jesus saying “eat my flesh and drink my blood…” you could call Jesus a false teacher. You could say He was teaching cannibalism.

Obviously Jesus is not a false anything. He is the truth. But sometimes Jesus had a purpose in saying things without necessarily making sure that everyone understood.

Contrary to popular opinion, Jesus did not speak in parables to make things clear. Jesus spoke in obscure parables so that the hardhearted could remain hard, and the soft-hearted would ask for more. He wanted those who loved the truth to continue with Him.

Mark 4: 11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Anyone and everyone can be a false teacher or false prophet if their words are taken out of context, even Jesus Himself.

Now the balance of that is: it’s very important to use our tongues in a way that does not cause people to stumble away from obedience (James 3). Our communication should be to encourage obedience and hunger for God. But we don’t use lies or deception, even if for the purpose of getting people to do whats right. Titus 2:7-8 instructs us to have sound, sober, and grave speech that cannot be condemned.

However, Jesus did not instruct to try to catch inarticulate people in their mistakes. Jesus did not instruct us to condemn people that are not as smart as we are. Jesus instructed us to “know them by their fruits.”

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

We don’t get to condemn people for having a different communication style than we prefer, whether it be free-flowing, or systematic and structured. Jesus said to “know them by their fruit,” so we don’t get to judge people for their preference of communication style instead of their fruit.

The Holy Spirit is available to give you a gift of discerning of of spirits, but ultimately, only those who are obedient to God’s will really understand doctrine (John 7:17). But if you want to know people by fruit like Jesus instructed us, then here are some of the actual biblical evidence and fruits of error:

  • Consistent and persistent communication of error that moves people hearts away from the living God (Jeremiah 23:1-22).
  • Saying everything exactly right or even doing supernatural miracles, but moving people’s hearts away from the living God (Deuteronomy 13:1-3).
  • Physical adultery, sexual sins, fornication, and unfaithfulness to marriage covenants. (1 Timothy 3:2, 2 Peter 2:14)
  • Partnerships with the ungodly in ministry, and mixing the holy with the profane in worship (James 4:4, Revelation 2:14)
  • Clear evidence of covetousness. Not wealth from diligent work, but from greed. (Colossians 3:5, 1 Timothy 3:3)
  • Drunkenness or dependence upon addicting substances, a lack of sobriety (1 Timothy 3).
  • Ungodly children, that are not in subjection or respectful (Matthew 11:19, 1 Timothy 3:4,5).
  • Consistent and persistent apostasy, divorcing from truth, denying the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 2:1, 1 Corinthians 12:2).
  • Persistent resisting of the Holy Spirit, holiness, and the power of the living God. Having a form of godliness but denying the supernatural power thereof (Acts 7:51, 2 Timothy 3:5)
  • Seeking glory for self, brand, ministry, or group, instead of God( John 7:18). A different agenda, to sell a product instead of freely communicate the glory of God.
  • Using doctrines of grace to strengthen subtle rebellion against the Lord instead of strengthening prayer, holiness, and obedience (Hebrews 10:29, Jude 1:4, Jeremiah 28:15-17, Hananiah = Yahweh is gracious)
  • Consistent and persistent teaching that moves people’s hearts away from prayer, holiness, or obedience. They will never articulate these things directly, but there will be a communication of fancy deep teaching or revelation that will result in this heart direction. This is a crucial point, because a prophet or teacher could say everything right, but have an overall agenda that leads people away from the heart of God.
  • Someone else might not have the best speech, but when you get to understand their heart and look at FRUIT, they lead people into sanctification, prayer and obedient partnership with God through Jesus Christ. These people may be assisted to help them communicate their points better (Acts 18:26).

By Biblical Definition, a prophet that cannot give specific practical instructions for returning to the Commandments, the Heart, the Salvation, and the Order of YAH is a false prophet.

Jeremiah 23:22
But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

Discernment Tip! Things of the Spirit are Always in Movement, so look Directionally

Things of the Spirit are always moving, and when you become seasoned in the things of God you don’t just look at how things appear on the surface, at a static point in time. You look at the direction and how things are moving… and then you start to see the reasons and the people behind the directional shifts. Then you can know things by the spirit, not the whitewashed appearance.

A True Biblical Church

A true Biblical Church is immune to false apostles, false prophets, false teachers, and fake bishops…

The natural vaccines that give this immunity have been around for hundreds of years. They are called Matthew, Mark, Luke, John…. 1st & 2nd Corinthians… 1st, 2nd, 3rd John… Revelations.

These natural vaccines can only be administered by the Holy Spirit, not dead men or history books.

The apostasy in the Church is a failure in biblical literacy and the failure to construct Jesus Christ in the Church thru the Holy Spirit.

ANY JACKDONKEY CAN SAY IT: Lessons from the Doctrine of Baalaam

Lessons from the Doctrine of Baalaam… any slightly gifted donkey or talented false prophet can sense what the Spirit of God is saying and put together an oratory message or a writing expressing it – so they can capitalize off of it.

The Lord is looking for DOERS of the Word, not hearers only, nor talented parrots or hypocrites. Take up your Cross with ACTION, follow Jesus Christ and Worship Father God in Spirit and in Truth. Do exactly and only what God told you to do, with exactly whom God told you to do it with. Obey His voice fully not partially, with no selfish strategies or shortcuts. Meditate the Bible day & night. Separate from worldly minded false systems and ideas and walk in Holiness. Tear Down the False, Rebuild the Truth. Build the Kingdom of God not the kingdoms of men.

God Allows False Apostles and False Prophets to Grow – To See if You Love HIM

God Allows false apostles and false prophets to grow and flourish so that those who love Him in truth can prove their love and integrity with the decisions they make to test them and stand against them and avoid them.

Revelations 2:2
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

2 Thessalonians 2
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

False teachers are easy to spot because they violate scripture. They are only easy to spot if you are biblically literate: having read the bible cover to cover several times while filled with the Holy Spirit in proper Christlike discipleship.

False prophets are a lot trickier because they say everything right and are great actors but they do the opposite and spread corruption and mixture and iniquity.

False apostles are the hardest to test. They say that themselves or their organization is “sent” from God, but their motive is always to eat the flock. It takes time for their corrupt fruit to show up, and they are really good at making themselves into “ministers of righteousness.”

But time always tells that they are “workers” of iniquity. Iniquity spreads as they continue to grow. Eventually iniquity turns into obvious sin, like a virus that takes time before the symptoms show up.

2 Corinthians 11:13
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Thank GOD for True Leaders who Love the Flock more than they Love the Devil!

They feed the Flock because they Love JESUS first (John 21).

The State of American Ministry – No Depth Perception (One-Eyed-Preaching)

The State of American Ministry

A true prophetic message does more than show vision and hope for the future. – encouragement & faith (right eye)

A true prophetic message also brings all the power of eternity instantly into the now, and forces you to make a concrete decision of Obedient Change that impacts your life forever. – repentance & fruit (left eye)

One-Eyed Preaching – that only sees from one side – lacks Depth Perception. It’s misleading, false and unfruitful.

Lamentations 2:14 nasb
Your prophets have seen for you False and foolish visions; And they have not exposed your iniquity So as to restore you from captivity, But they have seen for you false and misleading oracles.

Lamentations 2:14 NIV
The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The oracles they gave you were false and misleading.

Lamentations 2:14 ESV
Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not exposed your iniquity to restore your fortunes, but have seen for you oracles that are false and misleading.

Lamentations 2:14 kjv
Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity ; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

What’s the difference between Sin and Iniquity?

What’s the difference between sin and iniquity?

Sin is the sickness. Iniquity is the virus. Sin is the symptoms, iniquity is what leads to the symptoms.

Sin is obvious, iniquity is hidden. Iniquity is what was found in Satan. “iniquity was found in thee” satan is the original spreader of iniquity. He doesn’t deal in the symptoms he deals in the virus, the unobvious portion.

False prophets don’t necessarily spread sin, that would be too obvious. But they do spread iniquity… They “work” iniquity. It’s the iniquity that causes the sin to show up eventually, in many people. Some people hide the symptoms better than others.

That’s why many people will call Jesus Lord Lord and do many many works in his name, but Jesus will say ” depart from me I never knew you, you that “work” iniquity. ”

They are hungry wolves that “work” iniquity and they do not do the will of our Father in heaven. And the “many” people that follow them on the broad road will be headed to destruction.

When the Crowd Goes Wide, Its an Honor to Remain on the narrow road

Its an honor to remain on the narrow road that leads to life instead of the broad road that leads to destruction.

*[[Mat 7:13-23]] KJV* Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

False Prophets that lead you on the wide road dress like sheep, but they are wolves inside.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Many people on the wide road, even ones that preach, prophesy, do good works and call Jesus Lord will burn in hell because they never really obeyed Him.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Satans Investment in Angels of Light

Satans biggest investment is not in obvious wickedness… The whole world already lies in his power (1 John 5:19). They sin because they love sin. His biggest investment is in corrupting, weakening, and compromising the righteous. Because they are the only ones with power to stop him. Think about it…

If I was satan, my biggest investment would be to make my unstoppable enemy weaker by corrupting him. Give him success and acceptance in this world for watering down or corrupting his power and message. That way he cant really defeat me because he’ll be powerless and he wont want to.

It would be best for him to be known as a minister of light so that i could spread darkness into a generation of the righteous thru him without people knowing it. Thats why satan always sends wolves in sheeps clothing, and his ministers always appear righteous on the outside.

And anyone that refuses to be corrupted, those are the ones Satan threatens, tries to eliminate and kill. They get rejected by the system that satan controls (the world).

Anyone that thinks satans biggest strategy is in things that are obviously evil… Doesnt understand the first thing about the nature if satan. Satan is not obvious darkness, he’s corrupted light. He’s not obvious lies, he’s watered down wisdom.

*[[2Co 11:13-15]] KJV* For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

*[[Eze 28:14-17]] KJV* Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Job Descriptions: hiring a False Prophet and a True Messenger

The job of the false prophet is to reach the Masses with a corrupted message that is halfway true, and get praise and honor from men in his own generation. The pay is high, in the kingdom of man.

The job of the true messenger is to disciple the Few with a pure message that is lived in truth, and modeled to instruct God’s remnant and change future generations. The pay is high, in the kingdom of God.

Are you saying that true messengers can’t have success? No.

True Messengers wear success loosely, knowing that it’s temporary and fleeting, and that praise from men will soon be reversed into hatred. They dont mind success discipling the remnant, but they know that success with the masses is a lie. If they get mass success they don’t hold on to it, they keep chasing higher levels of truth, purity, and creativity in God. The only thing they do with success is teach others how they got it.

False prophets get success and then try to keep it. They keep trying to stay on top and stay in control, worshipping their gift, talent, or formula, and end up totally deceived and prophesying for more success instead of for God.
