The Spirit of Elijah Comes First – If You Really Love JESUS

The Spirit of Elijah Comes First – If You Really Love JESUS

A Confrontational Preaching Anointing

If you love Jesus and want him back soon, think about this: Malachi 4. The Spirit of Elijah comes first.

Malachi 4 4Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 5Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Jesus also confirmed this:

“Elijah COMES FIRST, and restores all things.” Matthew 17:11

The Spirit of Elijah did not turn hearts of people by preaching a message on ‘turning your hearts’.

He didn’t say “Fathers, turn your hearts back to your children. Children, turn your hearts back to your fathers,” even though those would have been very good messages.

When he prayed, he told God “Let them know that you have turned their hearts again.” But that’s not what he said to the people.

He didn’t say “Everybody turn your hearts back to God please.”

What did Elijah actually do? Read 1 Kings 18:17-40

The Spirit of Elijah set up a confrontation with idols and false prophets. He let them have the stage for as much time as they wanted. He let them set up their altars. He let them have the advantage, 450 to 1. He clowned them. He gave himself a disadvantage, making his altar especially hard to “catch fire” by dousing it with water.

What did all the wishy washy, 2 opinion cowards say when it was time for the confrontation – “not a word.” They really didn’t know whether to worship God or Baal (the idol of money & power) (1 Kings 18:21).

But when the fire came, the people automatically said “the Lord is God.” Then he killed all the false prophets.

This is the same spirit of Elijah that manifested in John the Baptist before the first coming of Jesus the Messiah.

He confronted the religious leaders of his day that really worshipped Baal (the god of money & power).

They were good at getting money, but not good at loving God with real fruit. He gave himself a disadvantage – preaching in the desert instead of on a mountain or in the middle of the city, or the temple. His father was a High Priest, he could have had an easy platform if he wanted.

People came out to hear and repent and be baptized, and he rebuked the false religious and political leaders of his day.

A Confrontational Preaching Anointing is what God will manifest before Christ’s 2nd Coming also.

If you really love Jesus Christ and want to see Him soon, don’t be scared to confront the false idols and false prophets of today.

That’s what is necessary to see revival, a great awakening, the last days harvest, and the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

Do you really love Jesus or not?

If I had known this before, I would have entitled my book: “Bringing Jesus Back Quicker.”

How Planned Parenthood accepts money to kill only black babies.

This documentary contains historical facts and the connections between racism and racial genocide in corporate America, and that has extended across the nations of the earth. This video has been up since January 2010, and yet some of the most important parts of this video have under 2000 views. That is a crying shame!

My Goal:

I want to add 10,000 views to each of the videos in this series. So:

  1. You can help by watching each 10-15 minute clip on your break from work, or on your phone or computer.
  2. Then pass it on to 4 more people and have them watch it each day! Link it, forward it, tweet it, facebook it!

Warning: Do not get angry. This documentary is not about being mad at any humans, or creating reverse racism – it’s about Truth that sets us free from the deceptions of satan. When we shine the light of truth together, darkness has to flee! The Mercy of the Lord endures forever, on every nation!

A Prayer to Pray Aloud:

“Jesus, I plead Your Blood over my sins, and the sins of my nation. Father, end abortion, end racism, and send revival to America.”

Let’s do it!

Pastor Eric’s Perspective on the Solemn Assembly | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 20 –

Pastor Eric Moore sent me this message… it was so beautiful I asked him if I could post it on my blog. He said yes, so here it is!

—-

You are probably aware that believers from around the country are going to gather at Ford Field on 11-11-11 for the CALL Detroit. For about three years I carried a burden that metro Detroit needed to gather for a solemn assembly. So when Lou Engle decided to do a Call in Detroit I immediately rejoiced! Lou’s organization, The Call, is based on Joel 2:15, “Blow the trumpet in zion, declare a holy fast, CALL a sacred assembly…”. (www.thecall.com) God is providing a powerful opportunity for the Body of Christ in metro Detroit to humble ourselves together in repentance and seeking God for mercy.

It is so important that we understand why we are assembling so we can properly prepare to attend.

The Forgotten Spiritual Discipline of the Solemn Assembly

Over the last decade I developed a deep appreciation for the Solemn Assembly. Prior to 2001 I didn’t really even know what a solemn assembly was and the vital role that it played in Biblical theology and in Church history. A solemn assembly is a corporate church discipline that brings a willing, humble church to a moment of repentance and belief in the efficacy of the cross and the mercy of God. The Church uses the discipline of a solemn assembly when she recognizes her sinfulness and the need to repent. Usually the driving force for a solemn assembly is dire circumstances in the community or nation.

The Church needs to reclaimed the solemn as a spiritual discipline. If you are over 30 years old you have watched the Church reclaim the spiritual discipline of fasting. As a child I never heard of anyone doing a fast. I was floored in the late 90’s when a pastor friend of mine in Canton, MI committed to doing a 40 day fast. I thought he was nuts! Our mindset has shifted about fasting. Now I know many people who fast, even doing extended fasts, me included! The same shift is beginning to happen with the forgotten discipline of solemn assemblies.

For a detailed presentation on the theology and history of solemn assemblies go to http://downloads.frc.org/EF/EF09E09.pdf. Dr. Owen Roberts has a outstanding explanation entitled SOLEMN ASSEMBLY: Forgotten Means of God’s Grace;. Hope for the Survival of America. Here is a germaine excerpt…

Not only were Solemn Assemblies a very common aspect in the revivals of the Bible, but they were a very important part of the life of believers in America during all its early years. For verification of this one has only to consult the Sprague Collection of Early American Pamphlets at the Weidener Library at Harvard University. There will be found a large number of sermons that were preached at the Fast Days and Solemn Assemblies which were frequently called and earnestly attended by American believers prior to the general decline of true Christianity which characterizes twentieth-century America.

Our Fathers believed God was offended by sin. They themselves were deeply troubled both by the existence of personal sin in their own lives and by the presence of unconfessed corporate sins in the churches and in the nation. They regarded natural calamities as manifestations of the displeasure of God Almighty against sin and allowed such events as earthquakes, fires, volcanoes, epidemics, floods, and droughts to prompt them to special seeking of God’s face in fasting, prayer, and corporate repentance. They also sought the Lord in Solemn Assemblies in connection with wars, murders, rapes, etc., believing such outbursts of wickedness to be directly related to the general decline of moral and spiritual life in the churches.

The Call Detroit – Investing in Our Community’s Solemn Assembly

With fascination I’m watching leaders of churches come on board with support for the Call. It’s truly supernatural the way God is pulling it together. Historic black denominations like COGIC, Full Gospel Baptist, AME, independent Charismatic and Baptist are seeing God’s hand orchestrating this movement. The bridging between the black and white cultures is flourishing, not just because a new set of relationships is developing but also because the content of the conversations is so much more spiritually substantive!

In a recent meeting with key leaders in Detroit, Lou observed, “In all of the 18 CALLS I’ve done in America, I never been welcomed to a city like I have in Detroit. And I’ve never been welcomed by the black community until now.” Yea, God!

Getting on board with what God is doing requires adjustments on our part. (Henry Blackaby, Experiencing God, notes that it will probably bring a crisis of faith!) To really engage expectantly in this solemn assembly will require new levels of…

First, Contending. This solemn assembly is about contending in the spiritual battle in Detroit and our nation. The Call is not a concert to come and enjoy good music. We are gathering to fast and pray together. God gave us a way to deal with the spiritual forces of darkness. They were conquered at the Cross. When unconfessed sin is present in someone’s life or in a territory, demonic forces have a legal right to be present and active. Through confession the power of the cross is applied and the legal claim of darkness is negated. Even the Old Testament gives example of the power of confession when Nehemiah and Ezra confessed their sins and the sins of their fathers. Real change came about through genuine repentance. Come, having prepared yourself with personal repentance!

Second, Humility. Investing in this solemn assembly requires the true humility to identify with the sins of our community and of our fathers. Humility is the doorway to grace, which we desperately need. That was the humility expressed by Nehemiah and Ezra. Their prayers did not blame someone else for what was wrong. They embraced it as their own. The corruption in our city governments around metro detroit is not a reason to throw stones but to kneel down ask God to forgive us. So it should be with each of the sins devastating our community! Come, and cloak yourself with true humility!

Third, Unity. Joel’s call for a solemn assembly called for everyone-each tribe, young and old, male and female, old people and babies. Stop what you’re doing and come together! That’s the idea! Kneel together to find mercy. Just maybe the fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven is found in the variety of expressions and passions in Christ’s Body. Come, even if you have questions about the other guy!! LOL!

 One last thought…

As spiritual leaders have gathered to discuss and plan for the CALL they consistently say, “We don’t need another prayer meeting, we need a prayer movement!”  Lou’s words pierced many hearts when he said, “Islam has a prayer culture, we have prayer meetings!” (Even those are not real well attended!)

The Call is an event, an important event. God will hear our prayers and respond with mercy. But the full catalytic power of the Call is to shift us into a deeper place of love among the family, deeper place of intimacy and intercession before God and a deeper faith to live sacrificially for our community!

That’s what His kingdom looks like!!!

Love,

Pastor Eric Neale Moore

If My People: The Cry and the Joy | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 22 –

If My People – The Cry and the Joy

As we prepare for the Call 11-11-11 National Solemn assembly in Detroit, we want to pray that it would really be Solemn. We are praying that God would release a Cry for the Abominations we have done.

The key to turning a nation is in God’s people turning our hearts back to God. Sometimes we aren’t even aware of the sins that we have committed. We think that how we live and what we do as the Church is normal and Godly. A messenger of God, that will boldly and gently point out the specific sins and errors that we don’t yet recognize, is a crucial component of any revival and awakening that God seeks to bring to a people.

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray , and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7

We know this scripture back and forth, but what is missing? We gather to pray and we have more pictures than prayers. We have gatherings that are everything but solemn, and we have a Church culture that glosses over and covers up sins, rather than exposing them so that we can cry or feel emotion over them. This stops us from turning to God from the heart. God is going to turn this type of Church culture on its head.

When Does the Joy Come?

7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth , more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need *no repentance. Luke 15

Is there anyone in the Church who is perfect, and “needs no repentance?” We are righteous by the blood of Christ, but when we really seek God and observe His ways, oftentimes we will find items where we need repentance. GOD in heaven has joy when those who have sinned repent and turn their heart to God.

We need to take part in the full emotion and personality of God. Full joy, full celebration, partying, music and dancing (Luke 15), but ONLY after we receive full vision, full disgust, crying and sadness over sin, and turning. No its not bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. Its abandoning our soul to Him and being filled with the Word and Spirit of God.

The Call

Daniel 9: iRepent | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 23 –

iRepent

We have been doing a series of events leading up to the Call called iRepent. We will be seeking to achieve the great repentance that is necessary to turn our city and nation around. Through the past couple of years, my wife and I have been shown – thru dreams, real life experiences, and by scriptures – the main principalities and powers that dominate our city and prevent revival and awakening in America. The Church is completely responsible, because Christ gave  us  all of the authority. So we have to turn our hearts to God in order to excercise that authority correctly.

One of the main points that God keeps emphasizing is that Daniel turned a nation repenting and praying all by himself! He saw what was happening according to scripture. He responded in fasting, prayer, sackloth and ashes. God responded by sending Him one of the highest ranking angels. God used His response of faith and humility to get His will done on earth. He also revealed to Daniel even more mysteries for further down the line of history.

Read Daniel 9.

Some of the main points:

Daniel got deep revelation of scripture. – Daniel responded to the Word of God with fear and trembling. He dove so deep into it that he realized it was time for its fullfillment. Then He responded with full knowledge of the seriousness of what Israel had done, knowing all the sins they have committed and how serious they were. He didn’t gloss over anything, because He understood the book of Jeremiah and the Torah.

Daniel knew His role. – Daniel understood the God/Man partnership. God is Sovereign and Man has been given authority. He knew He was responsible to pray into the will of God. He knew God presented His word not just to be heard, but to be interacted with, and engaged in, and acted upon.

Daniel repented by himself! – One man turned a nation by repentance, prayer, sackcloth, and ashes. What can you do by yourself to turn your city or nation to God and have the highest ranking angels fight for God’s will, and trumpet a message in response to your words?

Daniel repented for things he didn’t even do. – Daniel repented on behalf of his whole nation and took responsibility. Oftentimes its our little sins that allow the world to release big sins against us. We give the devil an inch in us, and that gives him a mile in the culture, and he can send his enemies after you according to what you did. But you can even turn your heart to God concerning the things you didn’t do. You can sigh and cry and fast and pray for any abominations done, and God will respond and reward you.

Daniel repented physically as well as spiritually. – Daniel understood the principle “First the Natural, then the Spiritual.” He didn’t just pray it and say it. It got deep in his mind, and then it changed his emotions as well. Then he changed his clothes from fancy clothes to rags (sackcloth). He put dust on his face (ashes). He stopped eating pleasant food, choosing to avoid meats, sweets, and maybe even bread (Daniel 11 fast). Maybe he only ate raw food for a time (Daniel 1 fast). He may have even went all-water for a couple of days (water fast). He got physical with his turning to God.

God responded with power, authority, affection and revelation. – Power – the nation was set in path to fulfill Jeremiah and return to Jerusalem. Authority – one of the highest ranking angels, Gabriel came to Him personally. Affection – He was called beloved of God. Revelation – he ended up with further knowledge of God’s mystery and plan.
