Celebrity Christianity? A lesson on Real Repentance, Fruit, and Discipleship

When a “celebrity” gets saved its all about what God can do through their “influence” and “platform”… and somehow all Jesus needs is rich talented people to endorse him.

When they are un-discipled, unfruitful, divorce their spouse, poison the people of God with their compromise and return back to the vomit they came from… all you hear is the wicked gloating that Jesus wasn’t real in the first place.

Jesus did not say: “When the talented celebrity Christian’s brand is lifted up, their PR and marketing skills will draw all men unto me.”

God doesn’t need our platforms, he needs our obedience. Real repentance has real fruit. We don’t need celebrities to endorse Christ. We need humble people to submit to the obedience of Christ.

Any wolf can cover their fangs and put a sheep mask back on. Look what Zacchaeus did. Then look what these fake celebrities do. It’s not real repentance. Real repentance has the fruits of humility, immediately and in the long-term.

Luke 19

And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
