Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Research into Josephus and other early historians shows that Sabbath Keeping Christians were spread across the earth, as far as India, China, and Japan:

HOW THE ANTICHRIST ATTEMPTED TO DESTROY THE 7TH DAY SABBATH

1. Rome and Alexandrian churches were the first to depart from the Sabbath because those cities were the headquarters for Greco-Roman Culture and Ancient Egyptian Religion, respectively.

“For although almost all churches throughout The World celebrated the sacred mysteries (the Lord’s Supper) on the SABBATH of every week, yet the Christians of Allexandria and at Rome, on account of some ANCIENT TRADITION, REFUSE TO DO THIS.” The footnote which accompanies the foregoing quotation explains the use of the word “Sabbath.” It says: “That is, upon the Saturday. It should be observed, that Sunday is never called “the Sabbath’ by the ancient Fathers and historians.” Socrates, “Ecclestical History,” Book 5, chap. 22, p. 289.

2. False churches in Rome and Alexandria resisted the Sabbath and stood strong on their pagan traditions setting apart the day of the Sun god. Pagan Traditions from Babylon were spread into the church via the churches in Rome and Alexandria.

“The people of Constantinople, and almost everywhere, assemble together on the SABBATH, as well as on the first day of the week, which custom is NEVER observed at ROME or at ALEXANDRIA.” —Socrates, “Ecclesiastical History,” Book 7, chap.19.

3. Newly “converted” gnostic pagan philosophers such as Augustine converted to this PAGAN form of Christianity in the city of ALEXANDRIA. Alexandrian and Roman church leaders began to spread their pagan form of Christianity even though most New Covenant Christians were used to keeping the Sabbath.
This would be the modern day equivalent of an ungodly rapper “converting” to Christianity and becoming a gospel rapper and gaining influence in the church but never fully repenting or being delivered from his sinful thoughts or ways.

“AUGUSTINE shows here that the Sabbath was observed in his day “in the greater part of the Christian world,” and his testimony in this respect is all the more valuable because he HIMSELF was an earnest and consistent SUNDAY-KEEPER.” See “Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers,” 1st Series, Vol.1, pp. 353, 354.

4. Roman Popes started to legislate against the Sabbath in order to change times and laws and blaspheme the law of God.

“Pope Sylvester (314-335) was the first to order the churches to fast on Saturday, and Pope Innocent (402-417) made it a binding law in the churches that obeyed him, (In order to bring the Sabbath into disfavour.) “Innocentius did ordain the Saturday or Sabbath to be always fasted.” Dr. Peter Heylyn, “History of the Sabbath, Part 2, p. 44.

5. As the Roman Catholic Church gained the power of the State, the Pope began to outright persecute those that kept the Sabbath. The Inquisition was launched to persecute and execute both Negro Jews and Commandment Keeping Christians all over the world by branding them as heretics against the Roman Catholic Church. Millions were slaughtered.
“We excommunicate and anathematize all the heretics, the Puritans, Paterines, the poor of Lyons, Pasagines, what-ever name: their faces might differ, but their tails are entangled in one knot.,” – decree of Pope Gregory IX (A.D. 1236)

“Canon 15 — To assure conformity of ceremonies, the synod forbids all believers to eat meat on Saturday, or else they make themselves liable to the penalty for mortal sins.
Canon 16 — The feast- and fast-days shall commence and cease at midnight, for the eve to eve custom was Jewish.” – Diamper (A.D. 1599), presided over by the Roman archbishop, Menezes

6. Sunday became the Mark of Authority of the Beast.

“Sunday is our MARK of AUTHORITY  …. The church is above the Bible, and this transference of sabbath observance is proof of that fact” (The Catholic Record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923)

“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act. And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and AUTHORITY in religious matters.”

“Question: Which is the Sabbath day?
Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.”
