Q: What is the scriptural meaning of marriage? & what constitutes a union/covenant?
A: The words of a marriage covenant being exchanged between a man and a woman. Sex does not start a marriage. Sex outside of marriage is fornication.
Marriage is a Covenant made with your mouth before God as Witness. The first step to becoming a MAN of character and integrity, is to understand that The Most High Is a WITNESS and ENFORCER of the WORDS of your MOUTH.
Genesis 2:23 And Adam SAID, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Malachi 2:14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been WITNESS between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy COVENANT.
Numbers 30:2 If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to BIND HIS SOULD WITH A BOND; HE SHALL NOT BREAK HIS WORD, he shall do according to all that PROCEEDETH OUT OF HIS MOUTH.
Proverbs 6:2 Thou art SNARED with the words of thy mouth, thou art TAKEN with the WORDS OF THY MOUTH.
