Rightly Dividing the Law
1 Timothy 1:7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully.
Teaching gives you light and understanding. Subversion will ruin your faith.
If you learn the Law from people who don’t understand it, you will be Subverted and Ruined.
If you learn the Law of God from the Scriptures, you will be Blessed and have Light.
Rightly dividing Yah’s Law will both give you Light, and protect you from being SUBVERTED
1. The Royal Law: Love God, Love Neighbor as Self: Expressed through Jesus
2. The Law of Liberty: 10 Commandments written by God’s Finger. Explains How to Love God and Love Your Neighbor
3. Creation Laws of God’s Design and Wisdom: Revealed by Scripture and Nature (Scientific/Physics/Math Law, Financial Laws, Food Laws, Marriage Law, etc…).
4. Sacrificial Law: The blood of animals, prophetic reflections of Christ’s washing of our sins.
5. Circumcision Law: Abrahamic covenant slicing the foreskin from males.
6. Transgression Laws: Added by Moses to compensate for hard hearts (not wanting to hear God’s voice, divorce, etc).
7. Ceremonial Law: (Holidays, dress, location) made to separate Israel from Gentiles to help bring forth the Messiah.
8. Law of Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus: Given by the Holy Spirit to Supercede and Exceed the Sacrificial and Cultural Laws (Sacrificial, Circumcision, Transgression, Ceremonial) and Work Salvation from the Heart of Faith. Kingdom Gospel, Kingdom Commandments, Kingdom Ordinances.
9. Laws and Ordinances of Earthly Governments: Given by Governmental Authorities of God’s choosing.
10. Traditions of Men: Babylonic Talmud, Jewish Oral Tradition, Caballah, Roman Catholicism, Denominations, Cults, Other Religions – Given by Tradition of Men.
How Jesus EXCEEDS the Mosaic Law
– Jesus EXCEEDS the law of circumcision by circumcising the heart , uniting Hebrew and Gentile into One Body. (Romans 2:28-29, Acts 15:24, 1 Corinthians 7:18-19)
– Jesus EXCEEDS sacrificial law because he is the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. (Jeremiah 7:21-24, Hebrews 7:11-28)
– Jesus EXCEEDS ceremonial laws and old covenant ordinances because he is the flesh & blood fulfillment of the feasts, and shadows.(Hosea 2:11, Colossians 2:14-18, Ephesians 2:15)
– Jesus EXCEEDS the laws for transgression because He gives us soft hearts and fills us with the Holy Ghost. (Deuteronomy 5:22, Galatians 3:19, Matthew 19:7-8, Mark 10:3-12, Hebrews 8:13, Romans 8:4)
– Jesus NEVER surpassed Moral Law or Royal Law, nor did He cancel Creation Law, because He and the Father are One.
– Jesus does surpass Creation Law in cases where He does supernatural miracles and healings in agreement with His Father and by the Holy Spirit.
– We obey Government Laws if they don’t violate His Moral Law.
– Traditions of men are unecessary but okay if they don’t violate the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Rightly dividing Yah’s Law will both give you LIGHT, and protect you from being SUBVERTED
Sound Teaching will give you light and understanding. Subversion from deceivers and silly women will ruin your faith.
