Q: When Adam and Eve’s eyes were opened, why did their nakedness make them ashamed?

A: I think Adam and Eve were ashamed because they were now sinners and they had a sinful nature. Before they sinned they were shameless while naked, because they were innocent. But now that sin was inside them, they felt ashamed.

Genesis 2: 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Genesis 3: 7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Genesis 3: 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

When they sinned, they chose knowledge of good & evil instead of life. When that knowledge is added to sin (disobedience), it creates fear and shame.

When we choose life in Jesus Christ, the Spirit leads us to a point where we will be clothed again in His glory and never be ashamed.
