False Apostles are more concerned about their FAME than their FRUIT.
They want your help with their BRAND but they can’t help you obey God’s COMMANDS.
BRANDING: what a ministry does when they have rejected the Holy Spirit and they don’t want you to find out that they are now just another business with professional orators and salesmen selling.
2 Corinthians 5
5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake
I’m not talking about a flyer or logo design, I’m talkling about a mentality that puts our name above the Words of God.
I have no problem with branding as a form of communication in itself, or used in a natural business, selling a natural product or service.
However when its used in ministry to avoid obedience to God, supplant the truth, as a warlike strategy, and promote self, I think its absolutely a negative.
There’s another scripture in 1 Corinthians 1 and 2 where Paul talks about they were branding themselves after Paul, Apollos, and Christ… and he called them carnal, and totally separated himself from that concept.
Branding is very limited, being a natural concept. However, it is often used to supplant the Holy Spirit. That’s where the danger lies.
God given identity, naming, and the seal of God and the heart tattoo of God are definitely infinitely valuable.
The “branding” I’m talking about how it’s taught in business school and used as a strategy of mental conditioning, not just communication. That has no place in the Kingdom of God.
