The only way to escape obedience is with disobedience and punishment.
You can NEVER escape God’s character-building processes through work, through family, or through ministry.
Spiritual Retardation is more than ignorance (even though they go hand in hand). Spiritual retardation is to refuse spiritual maturity or advancement in obedience thru suffering, and to choose disobedience and avoid suffering instead:
Being lazy and resisting work is a sign of spiritual retardation.
Resisting God’s purpose and plan for family and resisting nature and natural roles is a sign of spiritual retardation.
Resisting Gods high call on your life or ministry is a sign of spiritual retardation.
Hebrews 5:8
8 Though he [Jesus Christ] were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
When you say you want to do God’s Will, you need to be ready for the Pain that comes when He BREAKS 💔 YOUR Will.

If Jesus learned obedience thru suffering, how much more should we?
Disobedience and Ignorance go hand in hand. It’s like the old question – which came first, the chicken or the egg?
We are disobedient because of ignorance, and we are ignorant because of disobedience – because God pours out His Spirit and reveals His knowledge to those who obey His reproof (Proverbs 1:23).
When you delay obedience and refuse to advance to the stage you are supposed to be in, your spiritual progress becomes retarded.
Consistently avoiding obedience, suffering and maturity leads to more opportunities for obedience, suffering and maturity. So you never really escape Gods process of obedience anyway. Then in the end, disobedience leads to punishment You might as well obey Him at every stage, suffer temporarily, and be blessed with JOY!

Thank you so much for this information. When I was in sin and being disobedient, God dropped off his topic in my spirit, “Spiritual Retardation.”. This has been some years now, I’ve not taught on this as of yet. I needed to do more research on this topic. I will be doing this lesson sometime in the near future. Thank you so much.
