Why are we so quick to believe cliches and slow to follow the scriptures?

I understand the whole kingdom and relationship thing… But what about James 1 which says pure Religion and undefiled before the Father is taking care of the fatherless and widow and being unspotted from the world? Does anybody read that scripture anymore? Why do we seek to please the rich & famous and ignore the fatherless and widows, and why is the church so filled with sin and following after the world? PURE RELIGION is a good thing

Without Holiness, you cannot see the Lord, which is probably why those that despise, belittle, and reject holiness are spiritually blind – they cannot see the Lord.

Fighting with a blind man is not a fair fight… But we will defend the faith against satan regardless of whom he uses. God wants our fruit to remain, so we will protect the flock.

Hebrews 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man will see the Lord.

The bible has doctrine that’s very important to understand and embed into your soul.

But Christian maturity isn’t found in systems of doctrine but in daily and moment by moment dependency on the Holy Spirit.

Enoch walked with God Gen 5.

David was guided by His counsel then received to glory Ps 73.

Jesus did only what He saw the Father do John.

Romans 12 those led by Spirit of God are sons of God.

Revelation 14:4 they followed the Lamb wherever he went.

Physical Maturity increases INDEPENDENCE.
Spiritual Maturity increases DEPENDENCE.
Pride & Ignorance gets these TWISTED.

Spiritual maturity is dependency on God, the very opposite of physical maturity.

Physical and Mental maturity is independence from parents.

Spiritual maturity is dependence on God.

Physical maturity is freedom from restrictions.

Spiritual maturity is restriction to the commands and ways of the King.

It’s not what we’re used to but it’s the ONLY way.

Protesting in FOOLISHNESS vs Protesting that WORKS

Protesting in the spirit of FOOLISHNESS:

– Getting physically violent without the context of self-defense.

– Rioting and destroying the property of others.

– Complaining in a spirit of bitterness.

– Cursing others and letting anger rest in your heart.

– Lying that you want freedom but really you just want power and money to exercise your lust and lack of self-discipline.
Protesting in the Spirit of ELIJAH (spiritual violence):

– Fasting from food.

– No toleration of corruption, demanding righteousness.

– Proclaiming in the authority of your faith and Explaining your testimony.

– Restricting economic activity and controlling your resources with self-discipline. Money answers all things.

(Elijah stopped the rain. John the Baptist lived in the desert. They boycotted segments of the economy that violated Godly principles).

– Proving that you have the self-discipline and character that free-dominion demands by controlling your own body and your own property.

Servants of the Lord: did you know that you can condemn the tongues that rise up in judgement against you? 

This doesn’t mean condemning people to hell, it means canceling out their lying words by your testimony and your spiritual authority. It’s called spiritual self defense. It’s the other half of your favorite scripture. When you read it, you will wonder why nobody ever told you about the B-side of that scripture. It’s your heritage as a servant of the Lord.

Isaiah 54

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

In the book of Esther when Hamans decree went out to kill the Jews… Did God cancel the decree? NO. Esther asked the king for a NEW decree. It was a decree that they could defend themselves against their enemies decree.. God allows you to defend yourself against satans attacks. Read Esther 8:11. This is going to set a lot of people free.

11 Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey…

– gather yourselves together in every city

– stand for your life

– destroy the powers that assault you

– take their spoils for your gain

Your heavenly REWARD is not just based on WHAT you do or HOW MUCH you do, but the eternal VALUE of what you do.

You could invest all the time, energy, money and talent into ministry and end up finding out that it was wood hay, stubble… instead of precious stones, silver, and gold. If your work doesn’t last, it gets burned up… a complete waste.

Find out NOW what type of work God values. Don’t waste your spiritual energy on vanity. Don’t sow tares when God has given you wheat. Don’t defile the temple of God. Don’t deceive yourself with worldly wisdom… you’re just wasting your time. Get humble, get obedient, and get the biggest reward you possibly can.

1 Corinthians 3
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
