Morning Prayer Can Save Your Life!

Did you know that most heart attacks occur in the morning?

Your body wasn’t meant to go from sleep to stress too quickly. Don’t move too fast in the morning. Take some time to pray and meditate the Word in the morning when you wake up.

Ease your heart and mind into the day step by step. Morning prayer can save your life!

Does God Desire “Christian Entertainment”?

Does God Desire “Christian Entertainment?”

Entertainment is to hold something in your mind. God calls us to hold the Word in our mind.
See Colossians 3 and Ephesians 5

Entertainment is also hospitality and hosting fellowship at your house. God wants leaders to be lovers of hospitality.
See 1 Peter 4 and 1 Timothy 1

However iniquity, pride and violence is entertainment we should avoid. These are rooted in the sinful heart of man. Talent worship, beauty worship, and merchandising the Holy Spirit is from the influence of Lucifer. That’s the type entertainment we should avoid.
See Ezekiel 28 and Matthew 15 and Acts 12

Your Place in HIStory is Settled

The victory is already won! We have overcome the accuser by the blood of the LAMB, the WORDS of our TESTIMONY, and by our life sacrificing OBEDIENCE. Its too late for the devil:-) its too late for the Accuser. Its too late for the liar!

You have to realize that the devil is nothing more than a very talented actor in comparison to Christ Jesus. Jesus is Lord of all reality. The devil has already failed. The accuser and all of his messengers are already failures. Their job is to convince you that they have the power prestige and pleasure to get you to follow them.

If you follow the steps of overcoming, as seen in revelations 12:11, you can enforce the victory of Jesus Christ and completely ignore the voice of the accuser.

Your calling and your place in HISTory is settled – you just have to walk out your reality in Christ and ignore the devils fake reality show.

Biblical Economic Wisdom

Proverbs 16
26 He that laboureth laboureth for himself;
for his mouth craveth it of him.

Biblical Economic wisdom: you’ll always get the best labor when you create a system where people can work for themselves.

God Exhorts us To Pray, But Commands us to Obey

Are there any judgements in the bible for not praying enough? Or are they mostly for the people that refuse to obey what God tells them to do while in prayer? Yes prayer gives you strength but without obedience what was the prayer for? God exhorts us to pray, but He commands us to obey.

What’s needed? Revival or Building? Turning or Fundraising?

Which Word does God send for revival (turning hearts of a people back to Himself): a word of humility, practical change and obedience, or a word of excitement, declaration and momentum? Which word is sent for building a temple or building unity?

Check the bible to see which word is sent for which purposes.

Yes, there is a time for everything. But, we have to ask ourselves and be honest: what time is it now?

Don’t turn a house of prayer into a den of thieves!

Just like in the bible, its the same today. Grievous wolves have entered into the flock of God, and turn prophets into prostitutes for a profit. What can we do?

Matthew 21: 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

BUILDING A HOUSE OF PRAYER

We need to separate the selling and publishing from the worship. It needs to be done at separate times and separate places. In worship people should be able to give and receive freely.

Why? Jesus turned over the tables in the temple and he said “you have turned my fathers house of prayer into a den of thieves.”

DOES THIS MEAN SELLING IS EVIL?

This doesn’t mean that Christians cannot sell at all. If that’s the case, then anytime two saints got together they couldn’t do any business. Jesus specifically went into the temple, the place that was set up for worship and prayer and made this declaration: my house shall be called a house of prayer, but you made a den of thieves.

Is selling a sin? Is publishing a sin? No, not according to Psalms 68:11 or Proverbs 11:26.

However, selling and publishing do need to be separated from worship and prayer.

HOW DO THIEVES HIDE? WHY DO WOLVES MASK THEMSELVES?

If you look at a group of sheep in the temple and instead of thinking “what can I feed them?” or “what can I give them?” you think “what can I sell them,” then you are a wolf or you will soon become a wolf. A Shepherd is thinking about feeding the flock not making a profit off of them.

Yes it’s okay for shepherds to get paid but the system that God has set up for ministers to get paid is tithing and offering, not buying and selling. Even Jesus had financial supporters (Luke 8:3).

Tithing and offering is the primary way to fund any ministry. It’s not a sin to sell or publish according to Proverbs 11:26, and Psalms 68:11. But those things have to be clearly separated from the house of prayer.

If you have a publishing company then sell it somewhere else, not at the church. Sell through a website. Sell in a public place. Sell at a concert. Not at a church or temple.

Also think about this: when you sell in the temple, wolves smell blood. Their appetite gets turned back on. Thieves think: “I can do that too, even better!” Then they hide in the temple waiting for their chance.

Let’s say you go to a church and you sell a product that is 100% pure. What if a false apostle sees your example, figures out that he is more talented than you, and then decides to sell a product that is 85% pure? Now the church has been corrupted.

That’s why it’s not a good idea to sell products or advertise brands in the church temple or house meeting. Jesus is the brand and Gods Word is the message. Even a 100% pure biblical product can eventually be corrupted by making room for someone with the wrong motives.

WHAT ABOUT CONCERTS?

I have definitely changed a lot of what I’ve done in the past. I used to promote concerts and sell CDs and I would rent churches and regular venues alike.

Nowadays i wouldn’t even sell my book in a church i spoke at. I would not even push it, if someone asked about it I’d tell them to check my website or meet me at my car. I might give some away. When God teaches me something I try to figure out ways to obey, not ways to do the same thing I did before.

In some situations a concert is different, but if it’s at a church and it’s promoted to the church, isn’t it really a church event? If its not, why are tithes and offerings being used to fund a concert venue? If a concert is a church event then it’s a not a good idea to sell there.

If a concert is specifically a publishing event, not at a church then I’d say it’s okay to publish and sell at it.

We need to turn the house of prayer into a house of prayer, not selling, publishing or even branding. Even if it’s a 100% pure biblical product.

BUT WE ARE THE TEMPLE, THE BUILDING DOES NOT MATTER

True, our bodies are the temple of God. But Jesus is also clear that there are church gatherings that are to be set aside for church purposes. He is also clear that his house of prayer was a temple and was to be set aside for certain purposes.

I don’t think Jesus was doing a great acting job. I don’t think he was joking around. I don’t think he was giving a false prophecy. I think he was giving us part of his heart. I think obedience to his heart will help to lead us into the greater fulfillment of his word which is our bodies becoming a house of prayer also.

DOES EVERYTHING WITH A SCRIPTURE ON IT HAVE TO BE FREE?

It would be great if all bibles, books, and musical recordings were free. However, that is not a clear scriptural mandate. I try to focus on what is clear in the Bible.

My focus in this discussion is on the purpose of the temple of God. It’s not a place to rack up profits on products and brands but it’s a place to serve, give, pray, and worship. That’s what’s clear scripturally so that’s enough to make our hearts clean.

IMAGINE

What would happen if all church bookstores were converted into prayer rooms?

What would happen if the motivation for the preacher was not to sell his latest book but to say what God is saying?

What if the church focused on discipling all believers and letting them operate in whatever gifts they had instead of getting some “special” people to pay extra MONEY for “extra” training?

I believe if we start taking God’s word more seriously, soon He will start to take our churches more seriously.

Believer’s Response to Racism

Christian Response to Racism

We should not get worked up over racism, because racism is sin, and sin is in the hearts of men. Racism should be no surprise, because it’s just a manifestation of the iniquity in man. Pray for your enemies, and love them that hate you.

But we should observe when the government enforces racism. Government agents, as the ministry of God, are accountable to God (Romans 13).

When government ministers are unjust and refuse to fear the Lord, Christians have spiritually legal ground to evaluate them, pray for them to change, or replace them with their spiritual authority and strategy: prayer and proclamation of the truth.

As believers cry out to God and cry out in truth, eventually God will bring one government authority down and set up another. God did this for His children in the bible several times.

Psalms 75:7
But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Ten Reasons why the Sabbath is not Jewish – by Steve Wohlberg

Ten Reasons why the Sabbath is not Jewish
by Steve Wohlberg

Articles

1) Adam and Eve were not Jewish. “God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it” (Genesis 2:3) before sin entered. “Sanctified” means “to be set apart for holy use.” The only ones in the Garden of Eden for whom the Sabbath was “set apart” were Adam and Eve, who weren’t Jewish.

2) “The Sabbath was made for man.” Mark 2:27. Jesus said this. It was “made” in the Garden of Eden before it was “written” down on Mount Sinai. The Sabbath was “made” for “man,” not just Jews.

3) The other nine commandments are not “just for Jews.” God wrote “Ten Commandments” on stone, not just nine (See Deut. 4:12, 13; Ex. 20). Does “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” and “Do not bear false witness” apply only to Jews?

4) “The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God.” Exodus 20:10. God calls the Sabbath, “my holy day.” Isaiah 58:13. The Bible never calls it “the Sabbath of the Jews.” It isn’t their Sabbath, but God’s.

5) The Sabbath commandment is for the “stranger” too. The fourth commandment itself says the “stranger” is to rest on the Sabbath. Exodus 20:10. “Strangers” are non-Jews, or Gentiles. Thus the Sabbath applies to them too. Read also Isaiah 56:6.

6) Isaiah said Gentiles should keep the Sabbath. “Also the sons of the stranger … every one that keeps the Sabbath … for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.” Isaiah 56:6, 7. Thus the Sabbath is for Gentiles and “all people,” not just for Jews.

7) “All” mankind will keep the Sabbath in the New Earth. In “the new earth … from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the Lord.” Isaiah 66:22, 23. Here God says that “all flesh” we will be keeping the Sabbath in “the new earth.” If this is the case – and it is – shouldn’t we start now?

8) Gentiles kept the Sabbath in the Book of Acts. “The Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath … Paul and Barnabas … persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.”‘ Acts 13:42, 43. Here saved-by-grace Gentiles kept the Sabbath (see also verse 44).

9) “The law” [of Ten Commandments] is for “all the world,” not just for Jews. Paul wrote these words. Read Romans 2:17-23; 3:19, 23.

10) Luke was a Gentile who kept the Sabbath. Luke was the only Gentile who wrote any New Testament books (he wrote The Gospel According to St. Luke and The Acts of the Apostles). Luke traveled with Paul and wrote, “On the Sabbath we went out of the city by a river side.” Acts 16:13. It was the seventh-day Sabbath, the memorial of the creation (see Ex. 20:11). Both Luke and Paul knew it.
