Ask Lance Armstrong, ask Barry Bonds, ask Sammy Sosa, ask Hedo Turkoglu. If you are an athlete, and you don’t play by the rules, you end up losing even if you temporarily win.
If only ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ could understand these same lessons. There are certain substances that are illegal to inject into the Body of Christ. Even if they supposedly make the Body bigger and stronger and help you “reach more people.”
The Record Keeper knows the difference between real ministry work and illegally enhanced “performances,” and He will reward/punish accordingly.
2 Timothy 2:5 NIV
Similarly, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor’s crown unless he competes according to the rules.
