Jesus Christ, The Beautiful One | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 9 –

We have to take our eyes off  man…Jesus is the beautiful one! He alone deserves our gaze, our adoration and our praise! HE ALONE IS WORTHY! HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS SACRIFICED FOR ALL…

Our gaze of adoration toward man is part of what has led to the demise of many Christian artists, pastors, etc. As we admire them, they become filled with pride; they begin relying on self instead of God, get full of the flesh, and are overtaken. .

Also, when we focus on man our hearts are not able to receive the full revelation of Jesus Christ that transforms our hearts and spirits. Because God will have NO other God’s before Him, and when you set your hopes on man, you put that man before God and it is a form of adultery.

Another distraction from the beauty of Jesus is earthly anxiety. Jesus is the beautiful one, Jesus is the powerful one. Earthly anxiety robs our hearts from focusing on Christ and chokes the word of God from being planted in our hearts (Matthew 6:25-34, Luke 8:14, Luke 21:34).

As the people of God, the desire of HIS heart, return their gaze, their affections, their longings back to Jesus Christ, the beautiful One, things will truly change.

The children of Israel were afraid of going before the Lord, because He is Holy. They told Moses to go for them. So that means they did not have perfect love for God (Exodus 20, 32) …perfect love casts out fear, 1 John 4:17-19! When Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up, He said woe is me, I am a man of unclean lips (Isaiah 6). When you are in God’s presence you are naked before Him and your flesh becomes uncomfortable. (I am preaching to myself also). So then we want others to go before GOD for us, we want to glean from their revelation instead of getting before God ourselves. God is the lover, but also the refiner, pruner, chastener. So then, because we are not close to God ourselves, loving Him with all of our heart mind soul and strength…what happens, we still long for God, but are afraid to get too close, so we cling to what seems like God and elevate them to the place of God and worship the creature rather than the Creator. The Children of Israel did not want to draw close to God, they wanted Moses to go for them, so their hearts were idle, not focusing on the beauty of Jesus, because Moses was on the mountain, beholding God for them. So what happened? They created an idol made of Gold to worship instead. The idol has no holiness to fear so it is easier to be in its presence.

16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away . 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3

I challenge myself, I challenge you, to retract our hearts from all things that steal our gaze, our focus from Jesus Christ the beautiful One. Is it t.v? Is it facebook? Is it even friendships? What takes your focus, your gaze from the Holy God of Israel? When we focus on Christ we will be healed, cleansed, we will be blessed with greater revelation and understanding of who Christ is and how to love Him with all of our being.

Luke 10:27

And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

Jesus is The Beautiful One…what owns your focus? Who holds your gaze?

Revelations 5

(This is why He is so beautiful…)

7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

 11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Spiritual Violence: (Radio Station Testimony) | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 10 –

Spiritual Violence (Radio Station Testimony)

I remember a couple years ago we did a One Song for Christ Rally in front of the offices of Hot 102.7. We protested, set up a sound system. Mustard Seed Generation organized it. Brotha Dre rapped, DJ Intangibles djed, we marched, chanted, prayed, preached the gospel. People thought we were crazy, it was only a few of us. Even Christians told us we were going about it the wrong way, that we were causing trouble.

People in the city council even tried to stop it. But  a few weeks earlier we had done a March On Sin Rally with MOS Nation to Nation around the City County building too! This was two years before Occupy Wall Street, Occupy the FED, or any of that. The Body of Christ has WAY more authority than them. We have all the authority.

Now as of one week ago, October 23, 20011… FM 102.7 is the first 24 Hour FM gospel station in Detroit. We asked for one song and God gave us a 24 hour FM station. No static. Praise102.7Detroit.com.

Spiritual Violence is the Ground Floor of the Kingdom of God

 Matthew 11

11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence , and the violent take it by force .

Fasting, Prayer, and Preaching Repentance is Spiritual Violence. Its the Nazirite/Forerunner/Holiness anointing of John the Baptist that leads to the Kingdom. Spiritual Violence is the Ground floor of the Kingdom of God. And the least in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is even greater than John the Baptist, because Jesus takes us higher. But even Jesus Christ Himself built from the ground floor of Spiritual Violence – fasting, prayer, and preaching repentance. Simple faith in the Blood and Cross of Christ gives you salvation. But kingdom dominion comes thru spiritual violence.

Matthew 11

13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come . 15 He that hath ears to hear , let him hear . 16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, 17 And saying , We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced ; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented . 18 For John came neither eating nor drinking , and they say , He hath a devil. 19 The Son of man came eating and drinking , and they say , Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

Haters gon’ hate. Hard hearts don’t move.

If you sing a happy song they don’t dance. If you sing a sad song they don’t cry.

If you fast and pray, and preach and live holiness – they call you extreme and crazy, “holier than thou.”

If you fast for 40 days, and then eat and drink – while you preach, teach and heal people, and fellowship with music and dancing – they say you are just a sinner.

But guess what? Obedience Works. Look at the Fruit!

Spiritual Authority. Spiritual Violence. God is POWERFUL when we are obedient. We obey in Humility and Self-Sacrifice, so God gets all the Glory.

The Call

Jesus Christ, Man of Sorrow | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 11 –

Isaiah 53

1 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Jesus Christ did not always have a happy life. Jesus Christ was not a handsome or attractive man. Jesus Christ was a sorrowful man, full of grief, rejected and despised.

 Sorrow:

Physical and mental pain

What was the sorrow of Christ?

The pain of Christ…You are being beaten, slapped, spat on, hated and cursed by those you are giving your life for? What was the sorrow of Christ? You spend years pouring yourself into a group of people who vow to follow you and be with you, and in your hour of need they all abandon you? What was the sorrow of Christ? Hours before you are captured, you crying out to God in great distress and pain, and your followers are asleep? What was the sorrow of Christ? Jerusalem, the people God had pursued for thousands of years, who waited for the Messiah, does not even receive or recognize Him, though He left the right hand of the Father to show them the way? What was the sorrow of Christ? Our sorrows that he carried.

Grief:

Sickness, disease, sadness, grief

What was the grief of Christ?

That He bore in His body the sins of the world. He was perfect and NEVER committed sin, yet he was beaten so badly he was disfigured more than any man…for your sin and mine. The cross He suffered allows our healing today. Our grief He bore.

 Isaiah 53

4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

So we see that Jesus was full of sorrow, grief, rejection from those He came to save! Since Jesus had such a hard life, did He seek to make it better? Was He seeking and reading on how to have His best life now? No, even still Jesus sought to do the will of the Father.

John 4:34

34Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Matthew 8:16-18

16When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Jesus connection to the Father was so great, His love, devotion and faithfulness to Him were unmatched. He did all to please Him. This is our cue. We need not search out comfort, we need not search out vain and temporal happiness, but we have to seek the will of the Father, Jesus showed us the way.

After Christ’s obedience was fulfilled did He not rise with all power? Did He not have total victory over death, hell and the grave? Jesus is definitely not suffering any longer, He is seated on the right hand of the Father forever. We should not expect half the grief and sorrow that Christ suffered, and God does promise to take care of us, and reward us in this life AND in the life to come for the things we give up or loose for His sake. He also promises us Joy in our fruitfulness and says we can be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. But the principle is that we do not SEEK the pleasures of life, but the will of the Father, this is what Jesus did. He had the transgression of the entire world laid on Him, He did not seek to relieve Himself from it, but He sought how He might fulfill obedience to God’s purpose for His life. He sought how to fulfill the scriptures that had prophesied of Him. And even when Peter said with good intentions that Jesus should not suffer, trying to show Him comfort and pity, Jesus rebuked Him, called Him satan, and told Peter that he did not savor the things of God, but the things of man.

Matthew 16

21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”
23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

Though Jesus had many sorrows we cannot even imagine, His focus was pleasing God, and His victory came from it, and will eternally spring from it as He receives His bride, and rules and reigns over heaven and earth eternally.

So we must follow suit and not look for the easy way, the comfortable way, but we must savor the things that be of God, working to fulfill God’s call, not our own desires.

The first commandment is to love God with all of our hearts, minds, souls and strength. And Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. So let’s seek to fulfill this call, and victory will come from this, and the rewards will follow us from earth to glory.

 Jesus Christ man of sorrow.

Jesus Christ, victorious forever.

The Call

Intercessors are from Above | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 17 –

Intercessors are From Above

Believers, we have to know our identity as intercessors and priests. Too often we think we are on the bottom, looking up, when we pray for people, praying for cities, and nations. We have to know that in Christ, we already have all the authority. We pray over these things from uptop.

Let’s look at the first intercessor, Abraham:

22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD. 23 And Abraham drew near , and said , Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? 24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? 25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?  Genesis 18

“Abraham stood yet before the Lord.” He was standing between God and the city of Sodom. Was he praying for the city with a victim’s or beggars’s menality? No – he knew He had authority with God, because he was God’s friend. He wasn’t under the city of Sodom, he was above the city of Sodom, talking and bargaining with God on their behalf.

Let’s look at the greatest intercessor – Jesus.

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7

Jesus ever lives to make intercession. He is the greatest Intercessor. Jesus is in Heaven, and He is an intercessor. Jesus is from above. He saves people and lifts them up to His level.

Yesterday I heard a preacher on the radio (Dr. Tony Evans) share an illustration about people of the Kingdom being as referees, sent from the NFL office. He said referees are not to play for the fighting teams, but to officiate according to the rulebook of the NFL.  He said so many Christians choose to take sides (Democrat or Republican, Black or White, etc…) instead of concentrating on our kingdom identity above the issues on the field.

I loved that analogy, but I want to take it further… We are referees, and we get to call the fouls! We get to hand out the penalties according to the Kingdom rule book, the Bible. We decide who wins according to the rule book. Referees are not in the game or under the game, they are over the game. My main point is that as a citizen of the kingdom, we are spiritually above the world, not under the world, or in the world.

We live on earth, and we humble ourselves physically and socially to be servants. But what we do and say actually works on a higher level. What we bind on earth, is bound in heaven (the atmosphere). What we loose on earth, is loosed in heaven. We can bind the enemy with our praise. We declare who wins and who loses in the earth. We execute God’s judgements, forgive sins, and spread His mercy and glory and victory by faith.

We do this in agreement with God’s Word and with each other. That is why a full revelation of the Word of God, and full Unity in the Body of Christ is so important. Because we are on top – we intercede from above! We don’t beg earthly authorites for mercy and grace; we stand between them and God, declaring and conversating with God on what He will allow them to do. When our obedience is fulfilled, God can revenge all disobedience (2 Corinthians 10:6). This is why full repentance and turning of our hearts to God is so important. God allows us to execute judgements on satan when satan is not inside of us (John 14:30).

5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written : this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD. Psalms 149

Execute Judgements as an Intercessor from Above!

CONTEND BY NIGHT in The House of the Lord | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 19 –

CONTEND BY NIGHT! – Stand By Night in the House of The Lord

1 Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. 3 The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion. Psalms 134

There are certain servants of the LORD that are called to Stand By Night in the House of the Lord.

Wicked Deeds of the Night

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather *reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Ephesians 5

A couple of weeks ago my wife told me that she visited a pregnancy center, and she got to talking with one of the nurses. The nurse was sharing with her how she knew a young woman who was a part of witch and warlock covens, and she purposefully got pregnant twice just to have an abortion as a sacrifice to satan. She also said that she used to work at a cemetery, and in the morning they often saw dead animals and pentagrams – evidence of satanic sacrifices. She said she called other cemeteries in the area and they all said they had the same things happening.

Lou Engle has preached extensively on the doctrine of the shedding of innocent blood, and how it actually empowers the demonic realm. So I’ll let you ask him about that. But to me it was amazing that not only is it going on in the Detroit Area, in one of the pretty suburbs… but also that the nurse said it was increasing!

When we reprove these works, and other dark works that are similar, we manifest light and expose them. We fight with them and win because we shine the light on them.

The Power of Blood Sacrifice

26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not. 27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land. 2 Kings 3

In the Old Testament we saw an example of the power of a blood sacrifice. The King of Moab was having trouble fighting against God’s people. Then he offered his son, and killed him. After that Israel was defeated.

Yes blood sacrifice is powerful in the demonic realm. But guess what – there is a blood that speaks better and louder than every act of violence, every child-murder, every ritual sacrifice, and every satanic offering. Its the BLOOD OF JESUS. He died once and for all. And since He was a sinless man, His blood is the most powerful.

Contending By Night

One of the reasons that the Lord is raising up the Tabernacle of David is to place His priests and intercessors back in their nightwatch position. They will plead (declare, fight, contend) with the authority of the Blood of Jesus Christ, and easily defeat the satanic sacrifices. Whatever satanic rituals, violence, innocent blood, drunkenness, idol worshipping clubs, bars, concerts, or musical orgies that may be going on in the city will be decimated in power, because the Watchmen will be worshipping the Lord by Night.

If God wakes you up to pray at night, don’t fight it! He could be waking you up to fight something very dark, and the night time is the right time! When you come to The Call on 11-11-11, come to fight and Contend By Night! 6pm Friday -6pm Saturday.

Pastor Eric’s Perspective on the Solemn Assembly | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 20 –

Pastor Eric Moore sent me this message… it was so beautiful I asked him if I could post it on my blog. He said yes, so here it is!

—-

You are probably aware that believers from around the country are going to gather at Ford Field on 11-11-11 for the CALL Detroit. For about three years I carried a burden that metro Detroit needed to gather for a solemn assembly. So when Lou Engle decided to do a Call in Detroit I immediately rejoiced! Lou’s organization, The Call, is based on Joel 2:15, “Blow the trumpet in zion, declare a holy fast, CALL a sacred assembly…”. (www.thecall.com) God is providing a powerful opportunity for the Body of Christ in metro Detroit to humble ourselves together in repentance and seeking God for mercy.

It is so important that we understand why we are assembling so we can properly prepare to attend.

The Forgotten Spiritual Discipline of the Solemn Assembly

Over the last decade I developed a deep appreciation for the Solemn Assembly. Prior to 2001 I didn’t really even know what a solemn assembly was and the vital role that it played in Biblical theology and in Church history. A solemn assembly is a corporate church discipline that brings a willing, humble church to a moment of repentance and belief in the efficacy of the cross and the mercy of God. The Church uses the discipline of a solemn assembly when she recognizes her sinfulness and the need to repent. Usually the driving force for a solemn assembly is dire circumstances in the community or nation.

The Church needs to reclaimed the solemn as a spiritual discipline. If you are over 30 years old you have watched the Church reclaim the spiritual discipline of fasting. As a child I never heard of anyone doing a fast. I was floored in the late 90’s when a pastor friend of mine in Canton, MI committed to doing a 40 day fast. I thought he was nuts! Our mindset has shifted about fasting. Now I know many people who fast, even doing extended fasts, me included! The same shift is beginning to happen with the forgotten discipline of solemn assemblies.

For a detailed presentation on the theology and history of solemn assemblies go to http://downloads.frc.org/EF/EF09E09.pdf. Dr. Owen Roberts has a outstanding explanation entitled SOLEMN ASSEMBLY: Forgotten Means of God’s Grace;. Hope for the Survival of America. Here is a germaine excerpt…

Not only were Solemn Assemblies a very common aspect in the revivals of the Bible, but they were a very important part of the life of believers in America during all its early years. For verification of this one has only to consult the Sprague Collection of Early American Pamphlets at the Weidener Library at Harvard University. There will be found a large number of sermons that were preached at the Fast Days and Solemn Assemblies which were frequently called and earnestly attended by American believers prior to the general decline of true Christianity which characterizes twentieth-century America.

Our Fathers believed God was offended by sin. They themselves were deeply troubled both by the existence of personal sin in their own lives and by the presence of unconfessed corporate sins in the churches and in the nation. They regarded natural calamities as manifestations of the displeasure of God Almighty against sin and allowed such events as earthquakes, fires, volcanoes, epidemics, floods, and droughts to prompt them to special seeking of God’s face in fasting, prayer, and corporate repentance. They also sought the Lord in Solemn Assemblies in connection with wars, murders, rapes, etc., believing such outbursts of wickedness to be directly related to the general decline of moral and spiritual life in the churches.

The Call Detroit – Investing in Our Community’s Solemn Assembly

With fascination I’m watching leaders of churches come on board with support for the Call. It’s truly supernatural the way God is pulling it together. Historic black denominations like COGIC, Full Gospel Baptist, AME, independent Charismatic and Baptist are seeing God’s hand orchestrating this movement. The bridging between the black and white cultures is flourishing, not just because a new set of relationships is developing but also because the content of the conversations is so much more spiritually substantive!

In a recent meeting with key leaders in Detroit, Lou observed, “In all of the 18 CALLS I’ve done in America, I never been welcomed to a city like I have in Detroit. And I’ve never been welcomed by the black community until now.” Yea, God!

Getting on board with what God is doing requires adjustments on our part. (Henry Blackaby, Experiencing God, notes that it will probably bring a crisis of faith!) To really engage expectantly in this solemn assembly will require new levels of…

First, Contending. This solemn assembly is about contending in the spiritual battle in Detroit and our nation. The Call is not a concert to come and enjoy good music. We are gathering to fast and pray together. God gave us a way to deal with the spiritual forces of darkness. They were conquered at the Cross. When unconfessed sin is present in someone’s life or in a territory, demonic forces have a legal right to be present and active. Through confession the power of the cross is applied and the legal claim of darkness is negated. Even the Old Testament gives example of the power of confession when Nehemiah and Ezra confessed their sins and the sins of their fathers. Real change came about through genuine repentance. Come, having prepared yourself with personal repentance!

Second, Humility. Investing in this solemn assembly requires the true humility to identify with the sins of our community and of our fathers. Humility is the doorway to grace, which we desperately need. That was the humility expressed by Nehemiah and Ezra. Their prayers did not blame someone else for what was wrong. They embraced it as their own. The corruption in our city governments around metro detroit is not a reason to throw stones but to kneel down ask God to forgive us. So it should be with each of the sins devastating our community! Come, and cloak yourself with true humility!

Third, Unity. Joel’s call for a solemn assembly called for everyone-each tribe, young and old, male and female, old people and babies. Stop what you’re doing and come together! That’s the idea! Kneel together to find mercy. Just maybe the fullness of the Kingdom of Heaven is found in the variety of expressions and passions in Christ’s Body. Come, even if you have questions about the other guy!! LOL!

 One last thought…

As spiritual leaders have gathered to discuss and plan for the CALL they consistently say, “We don’t need another prayer meeting, we need a prayer movement!”  Lou’s words pierced many hearts when he said, “Islam has a prayer culture, we have prayer meetings!” (Even those are not real well attended!)

The Call is an event, an important event. God will hear our prayers and respond with mercy. But the full catalytic power of the Call is to shift us into a deeper place of love among the family, deeper place of intimacy and intercession before God and a deeper faith to live sacrificially for our community!

That’s what His kingdom looks like!!!

Love,

Pastor Eric Neale Moore

Returning a Pure Language | Countdown to The Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 31 –

Returning A Pure Language

8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. 10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed , shall bring mine offering.

Zephaniah 3

I just love this scripture… I remember the first time I heard about it when I was first learning about the Tabernacle of David and doctrine on corporate unified prayer. Then recently I learned even more about it with The Call.

The context is the last days when the Lord Jesus Christ is coming to rule. There are several layers of interpretation to both of these scriptures.

This speaks of the day when the Lord comes back in judgement upon all nations. He will gather them all to judge them.

Then He will return to the people a pure language, so that everyone can pray on one accord, with one consent, shoulder to shoulder. This shows the importance of unity in prayer to God. Calling upon the name of the LORD is prayer. Serving Him is worship. Jesus Christ wants unity of all people in prayer and in worship.

This is also the reversal of what God did at the Tower of Babel. Notice He said that He would return to the people a pure language. In Genesis 11 God confused all of the languages of the people so that they could be split up. They wanted to build a tower to reach heaven, or access the supernatural, without God. God confused them so they would not have unity and become one in purpose. Then they split up and became separate nations because they could no longer understand each other.

God is going to “return” that pure language to the people, after He judges all the nations.

One way we can preview this prophesy and have unity in prayer is by praying in the Spirit. No matter what country you are from, or what language you speak, speaking in tongues sounds similar! In Acts they spoke in tongues, and people from every nation heard them in their own language. The same thing happened at Azuza Street in the early 1900’s. God is returning a pure language to His people!

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, His suppliants, even the dispersed ones shall bring His offering. Suppliants mean worshippers. God is bringing Africans to be His worshippers. People beyond Ethiopia, and those dispersed abroad, the whole African “diaspora” (dispersed). They will bring an offering to the true God.

We encourage those among the African diaspora to fulfill this prophecy even now. Begin to lead your community in public worship. Bring the true God, (Yahweh and His son Yeshua) an offering. Lead the nations in worship and in unified prayer with one consent, with a pure language.

Worshippers should be undefiled and pure in their language. Don’t be afraid to sing the scriptures and interpret the scriptures with your songs. Reach to heaven and find His pure language for your songs and your prayers.

The Call

Join us on 8 Mile | Countdown to the Call Detroit 11-11-11: Day 37 –

Join Us on 8 Mile   | Join Us All Night Long

We are praying down the dividing walls of this region every day at 2pm, on 8 Mile & Lahser… Every day leading up to The Call. 8 Mile represents division, in the past it was a dividing line of racism and classism.

One of the keys to restoration and revival is repentance. On of the main areas of repentance is for racism in the Church. We are praying for the desegregation of Sunday morning. We are praying for racial desegregation, denominational desegregation, the ending of schisms and factions in the Church… and that walls of hostility would be torn down. The Unity of the Church is Jesus Christ’s most effective Evangelism strategy (John 17). Join us on 8 Mile daily until 11-11-11.

There is a time for praying in secret, and there is a time to shout from the mountain tops the things that God has whispered in your ear in secret (Luke 12). Saints its time to arise and cry with a loud voice. We can’t be like the frog that boiled because his atmosphere was heating up slowly. We need to discern the signs of the times and respond with spiritual violence to take the kingdom! God may be about to do something unprecedented.

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12

All Night Prayer @ DaHOP. Jesus prayed All Night Long unto God. If you want to press in with us join us on Friday Nights, 6pm- 6am. Let us acheive the great repentance and turning of our hearts to God that is necessary. Join us. Daniel turned a nation repenting and praying all by himself! So if 3 of you come and join us on Fridays leading up to The Call and join us at The Call in TRUE REPENTANCE…. What could happen in our nation?

Prisoners of Hope Get Double | Countdown to The Call 11-11-11: Day 40 –

12 Turn you to the strong hold, you prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto you. Zechariah 9

The name of the Lord is your strong hold and strong tower. You have been a prisoner of hope, trapped by your faith in God, a slave to true love. You have chosen to believe God for more than just money and cars and houses. You believe God to save a generation. You believe God to turn a city upside down. You believe God for a move of His Spirit, you believe God for a revival and 3rd Great Awakening in America, the promised last days harvest labor movement, and the pouring out of His Spirit on all flesh. You believe for Jesus to come back quickly.

That prison can be lonely at times, many people don’t understand it. Your Accuser says: “Just be normal. Be practical. Compromise makes more money and helps you influence people. Just be like everyone else. Don’t desire God too much, it makes you look bad.”

But God says to you today – “I will render double to you!” Everything the devil stole, everything you sowed for God, everything that was lost. You get double, because its for the Glory of God, not man! So keep praying, keep fasting, keep speaking what you believe. I believe that Jesus Christ has decided to come and turn the tables in our city. He will, so get ready!

BET’s The Game

Romans 1:28-32

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

I have only seen one full episode of The Game, but that was enough for me. I have since learned that a main theme and element of this show is to make God and the bible a joke and a mockery. In the episode that I saw, one of the football players pretended to be a born again Christian in order to impress a coach in the NFL. He went as far as hosting a bible study in his home, inviting the man he wanted to impress and actually reading from Psalms 119. It was all a big joke, he had no reverence for God or the bible, and he was only using it as a device to get what he wanted.

Recently I found out that three of the NFL characters on the show have nick named themselves the father, son and holy ghost. This is blasphemy, irreverence in word or deed toward God, and the name of God(http://www.studylight.org/dic/hbd/view.cgi?number=T971).

God takes blasphemy and using His name in vain very seriously

Taking God’s name in vain:

Exodus 20:7 (King James Version) 7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Deuteronomy 5:11 (King James Version)11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Blasphemy:

2 Timothy 3:1-5  (King James Version)

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

James 2:6-7 (King James Version)

6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? 7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

The Holiness and power of the name of God and Jesus Christ:

Luke 1:49-50 (King James Version) 49For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy (reserved from profane or common use) is his name. 50And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

Philippians 2:9-11 (King James Version)

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The world hates God. The systems and kingdoms of the world are set against God. And friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God (James 4:4). Since there were so many blasphemous references to God and the Holy Spirit throughout this show I decided to do some research. It seemed that this was very intentional and purposeful. What did I find from a simple internet search? The creator and producer of The Game is a devout Muslim (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mara_Brock_Akil).

Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God, so they would have no problem disrespecting Jesus Christ the Holy Ghost or the God of Christians.

Entertainment as a Vaccine against True Faith (sospression)

When I saw a few minutes of “The Game” at a friends house… INSTANTLY the Holy Spirit showed me what it was doing. It was like a spiritual “vaccine.” A vaccine is a weakened version of something that is powerful and infectious. You get injected with a vaccine in order to strengthen your immune system against the real thing. Most entertainment in today’s time contains several “vaccines” against true Christianity. They mock Christians, display hypocrisy, and make everything related to God into a joke.

Just take an inventory in your mind of all the books you read in high school, the most popular tv shows, and movies. What percentage of them displays Christianity as all about hypocrisy, or just a silly joke? Satan does this with the intent of making the hearts of men immune to the true fire of God. This show, “The Game” is no different , but it’s really going overboard. However, God’s power is so great, that when His true fire comes, there is no stopping Him from capturing your soul, no matter how many vaccines you have taken by television, radio, movies, etc… In the same way, once your soul has been truly captured by God, you will have no tolerance for the blasphemies and disrespect of this world for God. It’s impossible to be a friend of the world and a friend of God at the same time. So examine yourselves, and see if you are really in the faith.

Turn the Tables?

How would muslims respond if allah and the quran were being mocked on television? How have we responded as Christians? God is being mocked and blasphemed on television and mainstream culture more and more. And it will get worse as the times we live in become increasingly evil and the hearts of men grow cold (Matt. 24:12). But we as Christians should not willingly participate or be entertained by it.

I officially call for a boycott of “The Game” and against BET. BET sends a double message, they have the BET gospel music awards, and a blasphemous show like “The Game”? They have Sunday morning Christian programming and air a show where a player is allowed to call himself the holy ghost? TURN OFF THE GAME, TURN OFF BET.

Don’t get me wrong, The Game is NOT the first television show to mock God. The Simpson’s continually mocked God, Conan O’Brian, South Park, the movie Friday, and Tyler Perry, yes I said it, Tyler Perry. These are only a few .

And for those reading who may watch The Game you may say, “That’s them, I only watch the show”, but God will not hold anyone guiltless who take pleasure in and are entertained by unrighteousness (Romans 1:32). Please understand, I myself have had to repent for being entertained by unrighteousness, I laughed at movies and television shows that negatively or jokingly referenced God, the bible or God’s people. Therefore we have to repent, and TURN AWAY from the sinful, blasphemous ways and entertainment of the world.

Do you realize that we are called to forsake ALL to follow Christ? If you are not ready to fight and die for the cause of Christ, you are not worthy of Him. If you are not willing to forsake family members for the cause of Christ you are not worthy of Him. If you are not willing to give all that you have to follow Him, you are not worthy of Him. If you are not willing to stop watching a television show that mocks Him, you are not worthy of Him (Matthew 10:36-38, 1 John 2:15-16).
