They will tell you for 400 years “Submit to authority, and you won’t get killed.” This is true sometimes, sometimes it’s not true.
But they won’t tell you that God will bring destruction to corrupt authority that doesn’t repent. This is 100% true.
They won’t tell you the latter truth because they are hypocrites and their idol is the power of empire. God speaks repentance to both sides of any conflict.
If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province,marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.
