De-emphasizing Strength and Beauty

De-emphasizing Strength and Beauty – Exalting Wisdom OVER Youthful Lusts – Overemphasizing the FEAR of YAH

MEN HAVE NATURAL STRENGTH

The strength of men is natural. It leads to protection, economic growth, and athleticism. These things are natural and not sinful. But when they are overemphasized, it leads to greed and violence and enmity.

Roman/Babylon culture overemphasizes youthful strength, competition, and sports.

In the Kingdom of God and Hebrew Heart culture of a called out Congregation, we must de-emphasize strength and overemphasize the Fear of the Lord.

We must learn to give verbal praise and take pleasure when our young men fear the Lord and keep His commandments more than in their strength and athleticism.

Psalm 147:10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. 11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

1 Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. [competition]

Mark 9:34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

Doing this on purpose will help us be free from youthful lusts, the deceitfulness of sin and the corrupted world system.

WOMEN HAVE NATURAL BEAUTY

The beauty of women is natural. It leads to procreation, family growth, and fashion. These things are natural and not sinful. But when they are overemphasized, it leads to lust and violence and vanity.

Roman/Babylon culture overemphasizes youthful beauty, sexuality and fashion.

In the Kingdom of God/Hebrew Heart culture of the Called Out Ecclesia, we must de-emphasize beauty and overemphasize the fear of the Lord.

We must learn to give verbal praise and take pleasure when our young women fear the Lord and keep his commandments more than in their beauty and fashion.

Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

1 Peter 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;

4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Doing this on purpose will help us be free from youthful lusts, the deceitfulness of sin and the corrupted world system.

dark skinned vs light skinned… good hair vs bad hair????

I absolutely HATE WITH A PASSION the dark vs light and good hair vs bad hair culture. I believe in pursuing God’s creativity and beauty with what He gave you. Its all about confidence, not looking to emulate what the media shows you.

Iniquity is in the Heart of Men

The root of it is really just the sinful human nature that uses any chance it can get to spread pride, superiority, and self-seeking merchandising strategies.

Its not limited to just African American racism or Eurocentric culture either. Believe it or not in India there are caramel colored women that think they are ugly because they are not beige. They even have skin cream lighteners sold on nationally televised commercials where a lightskinned Indian woman gets paler and paler, and all the sudden her dream man wants her.

Proverbs 16
6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.

Men everywhere in every culture have to purify their iniquities with Mercy and Truth, and build their faith in God and His Creative Glory…

Gods Creativity and Your Confidence

Man looks on outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. Everyone has a purpose and if you connect to God’s Creativity your beauty will eventually shine.

The more you allow yourself to receive communication or marketing from the workers of iniquity, the more you will hate yourself and give them the advantage over you, because that’s Satan’s goal. Dark skin is just as beautiful as light skin but if the dark skin has no confidence and doesn’t smile, how can it be beautiful? (SoS 1:5 I am dark and lovely, black and comely…)

Discipline and Order

One of my sons has soft hair, one has harder hair. They both are appealing to me, but in culture coarser hair is considered lesser.

Why… because the human eye is drawn to order… that’s just a natural fact. Order is beauty because it makes you wonder about the person who ordered it. The human eye is also drawn to symmetry and balance.

It takes more work to bring order to harder hair than softer hair. Soft hair doesnt go wild until 2 or 3 inches, and can be ordered with a swipe of a comb. Coarse hair needs to be trained from the beginning. That’s why discipline is key.

A wild bush looks less appealing than a pine tree that grows straight up with straight needles. But when that bush is trimmed it is just as beautiful. Both the bush and the pine tree were created by God and have the same potential for beauty. One just needs more input and discipline.

As a matter of fact you can do more with the bush than you can do with the pine tree. The harder hair needs more discipline but it looks just as good and even better when it is disciplined.

I believe if you pursue God’s creativity with discipline you can be just as powerful and beautiful as someone who came out with an easier appealing look in the eyes of man.

Creativity, Confidence, Discipline, and Balance = Opportunity

That’s the value of using what God has given you even if it seems at first to be less in the eyes of man. Your confidence and discipline in God’s creativity can create something the world has never seen… Which can ultimately bring glory to God.

To Dress and To Keep

To Dress and To Keep

God’s 3rd initial instruction to Adam – to dress and to keep the garden – is more than just order and cleanliness of property.

It is the creation of beauty that shows that we are created in the image of the Creator God. It’s also part of what sets us apart from animals.
