There is no perfect church, but there is a perfect Savior, and a perfect Gospel; there are Ten perfect Commandments, and a perfect Way of holiness and love.

Don’t be Bamboozled by Miracles of Provision

There’s a difference between truly giving God praise for what He’s done, and bragging about provision to manipulate others.

Don’t be bamboozled by people that brag about God providing for them with the purpose of making you think they are special and you need to follow them.

Jesus taught us that God provides for the birds. Does that mean we all need to go around tweeting at 5am and looking for worms? No.

God provides for the stripper with 5 children. God provides for the corrupt politician with a payroll.

God provides for people because HE is good and generous. He shines his sun on the just and unjust. God provides because HE is merciful.

Miracles of provision are not a seal of approval!

Jesus provided a huge harvest of fish to Peter. That wasn’t Peter’s license to keep on fishing. It was the OPPOSITE.

Just because God provides for someone in His mercy and generosity doesn’t necessarily mean that they are doing the right thing.

Doing the righteousness of faith in Jesus and keeping His Father’s Commandments is doing the right thing. This is what will matter in the end!

Matthew 7:21-23
[21]Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
