Rise Up and Honor
You rise up and honor your elders not because they are perfect and lived sinless lives but because you FEAR GOD and you want your OWN LIFE to be BLESSED instead of CURSED.
Leviticus 19:32
[32]Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and FEAR THY GOD: I am the LORD.
Exodus 20:12
[12]Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy DAYS MAY BE LONG upon THE LAND which the LORD thy God GIVETH THEE.
Deuteronomy 27:16
[16]CURSED BE HE that setteth light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.
