I was today years old when I found out that John Alexander Dowie was the original modern false apostle and fake healer! When I was younger they told me he was God’s General but he called himself a medium, and actually did nothing the way Christ did it!
Reading these news articles from the 1800s was actually very eerie and creepy. You will instantly recognize the echoes of manipulation, lying, marketing tactics, false humility and self-aggrandizement to fund raise for real estate. He invented the game!
The things he said and did set the pattern for all the fake healers and false apostles for the next 100 years! Wow!
