This link is to the spiritually tragic story of Sister Rosetta Tharpe… who was called to be a worshipper of God but ended up dying as a performer for men. It all stemmed from dead tradition and performance based religion usurping the importance of God’s Kingdom and Family.
When you take God’s gifts for yourself and use them to please men instead of a Holy God, you end up spawning generations of idolatry and the mixture of holy and profane that ends up just only profane.

I watched this on PBS. It was so sad to see her sell herself like that. To even hold a wedding as a publicity stunt. The seeds she planted in Gospel Music produced the mass carnality of today. Good stuff bro.
Yeah it was tragic what happened to her and thru her.
Its tragic how the devil has so effectively stolen the gift that God used people of African descent to bring to the Kingdom of God – the gifts, creativity, and power of the Holy Spirit. Now its time for us to take it back, for the glory of Jesus Alone!
