Jeremiah 23 is blowing my mind right now. Many many gems in this chapter concerning false prophets and priests versus the words of Gods Holiness.

Take a look at this:

Jeremiah 23:14
14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

Notice this about Gods view of the profane prophets:
-They committed adultery
-They walked in lies
-They strengthened the hands of evildoers, that none repented from wickedness…

Strengthening the hands of evildoers – supporting them motivating them and bringing profit to them, joining with them, signing with them, “collabing” with them, and partnering with them instead of requiring repentance from them – is seen by God on the same level as adultery and living a lie (hypocrisy). It’s also seen as the ministry equivalent to Sodom and Gomorrah.

So the preacher or artist that commits adultery, the preacher or artist that is exposed as a hypocrite… And the preacher or artist that changes his message from repentance to partnership with evildoers – are the same in Gods eyes – wicked, dangerous, and in need of mercy and repentance before they get destroyed.
